I got this for my truck, so I could plug in my Tailgate lights and trailer lights without having to unplug one all the time. Works great for what I need. Remember, Keep the contacts clean. I wrapped all of mine with water proof tape after plugging them all in, and keeps water and debris out.

This is a cost-effective way to split a four-pin trailer connector to power supplemental lights. I don't believe that I could have bought the connectors and wire and assembled one myself for less money. Wires and connectors are solidly made as are the connections.

Item not what is pictured. Amazon is guilty of this more often that I would like. The unit is an adapter as describe - but not a single unit. It has the vehicle connection and then separate wires for two trailer connectors. I would have preferred the single unit as pictured. Buyer beware. Items works as intended - just has more wires and is more complicated than I would have liked.
