I purchased two of these plain grey 25 lb. grip plates. They're more compact that the vinyl 25 lb. weights I had been using and the 3 triangular holes are good for gripping.

I give them 5 stars because they're weights. My scale says 50.2 lbs for two of them.

However, either Amazon's packaging or FedEx's delivery has issues with the density and/or weight of them. They were individually packaged and mailed, but the boxes were falling apart by the time they made it to my house. There was no damage (nor would I really care) to the weights that I could see, but those that insist on an impeccable paint job for the weights they're dead-lifting should beware.

I was originally going to buy the expensive rubber coated weights to avoid the scratchy metal and rust that comes with certain weights. These weights are coated with some sort of smooth paint that doesn't scratch or chip. The hand holds are very nice if you switch up your weights often or transport them. Excellent quality for the price.

These are decent, cheap, 25-pound plate weights. I needed plate weights to help weigh down my punching bag stand (the thing would slide around after a good hit). These were the cheapest that I could find, and they look good, they're easy to carry, and they fit my punching bag stand (Everlast 4812).

Some people grumbled about the boxing. Mine came in individual boxes; two were dinged up, one was okay. They're 25-pound weights in cardboard boxes; the boxes are gonna get smashed up (unless they're the perfect size for the weights; mine were not). The weights themselves were completely undamaged and unscratched. Perfect as far as I'm concerned.

The description talks about a machined center hole and a baked enamel finish, yet about half the plates I received had burrs/imperfections on on the interior center hole. Fortunately they were not difficult to remove with a file and the center hole is oversized enough that I didn't have to work to hard to make them fit on my bars. Still, I was expecting a smooth machined center hole on these supposedly higher quality plates, and I didn't get that.

Other than that problem I like them very much. The grips make them very easy, and safe, to handle.

They are easy to grab. They do have the CA prop 65 sticker on them which states that they contain one or more chemicals known to the state of CA to cause birth defects and cancer. I use exercise gloves whenever I handle them. I got them because weights coated in rubber or plastic or some other material cost much more. I store them in the garage away from my kids.

Nice weight plates, however, they are not the lighter silver colored pictured, they are darker, a charcoal gray metal.
Might not matter to some, but if you have a set already in the lighter metal, than this will not match your barbell/dumbbell set-up.
Also, the stickers the manufacturer uses are horrific to remove.
