I really like this leather. It's cylindrical in shape with a decent thickness. I use it for my necklace after my fibrous, non-leather necklace loop started fraying and broke. I've been wearing it constantly for 7 months now. I leave it on during sleep, in the shower, swimming and workouts so it survives extended wear and getting wet.
It's only now fraying ever so slightly. I expect it will last at least another 2 years before I'll have to fashion a new loop. It has darkened significantly from the moisture and is much softer now.
I haven't tried any intricate loops or braids with it. I imagine it could be a little difficult to work with, at least while it's dry.
I'd recommend it if you like having the flexibility of keeping your jewelry on all the time, and fibrous or hemp-type necklace material in the past have either worn out on you or become odorous (or both). This is much tougher than that stuff, and doesn't get stinky.
