Many reviewers are warning of faulty products, and rightly so, but they should be mentioning the seller they purchased from if they want to be helpful. I'm very happy with my purchase from CCMACCESSORIES. Placed my order on a Friday and received it on the following Monday. I received a charger and 4 ft. micro usb cord. Both are HTC branded and look exactly like the ones that came with my EVO 4G. I successfully charged my phone with it for a few minutes and did not notice any grounding issues or anything like that.

Here is some info printed on the back of the charger (again, identical to the info on the one that came with my EVO 4G):

Input: 100-240V ~ 200mA 50-60Hz
Output: 5V==1.0A

Admitedly, on first glance this LOOKS like a real HTC charger, and it actually does charge my HTC Evo. But it is clear that this is a knock off. The tag on the cable has the htc logo in the completely wrong font, and the part where it is supposed to be glued to the cord was wet right out of the package. The piece that plugs in again looks like the real deal, but it is a different model number than the one that comes with the phone, and has completely different markings on the back. It also gets hot VERY quickly. After only plugging the phone in for 15 minutes, it was hot to the touch, and I unplugged it and went back to my original charger.

If you don't mind a knock off that looks pretty much like the real thing, and will get the job done, then go ahead and buy this. If you want a quality product, buy something else. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Beware of buying from DB Roth. Not only is this billed as an HTC OEM product which it's not, but it also was supposed to include the car charger and an lanyard, which it did not. What a ripoff. I will be sending this back but am highly irritated that it's not what I ordered. Definite violation of truth in advertising.

This charger is definitely NOT an OEM HTC Charger and bears little resemblance to the OEM HTC charger that came with my EVO 4G. The manufacturer of this charger is 'Delta Electronics'. I am very disappointed with this purchase and the fact that this is billed as an OEM HTC charger. This item listing is completely false and should be taken down or changed immediately. On the plus side, it does seem to work. Still, I payed for the OEM HTC Charger and did not receive that. Again I am extremely disappointed and will be filing a complaint against this seller. **DO NOT BUY**

Ordered this as a spare charger for my HTC Thunderbolt - it looks just like the one that came with my phone, but the AC adapter does not work. Wouldn't charge my phone at all. I would avoid this product if you're buying for the Thunderbolt.

Ordered this as a spare AC adapter for my HTC Thunderbolt. AC adapter did not work at all. No power from the adapter at all. To Amazon's credit, they did promptly refund me and gave me a pre-paid shipping label to return the item, but still disappointed that it didn't work from the start.

Both of these plugs have a ground short. i.e. once a phone is plugged in the capacitive touch become inactive when using these chargers. I tried different wall sources, different wires, and different phones. The plug itself is creating a ground short on BOTH units I ordered.

I ordered three of these chargers for my HTC Evo 4G Android phone and none of them charge my phone(or rather they appear to provide enough current so the phone thinks it's charging, but it is charged too slowly to make any practical difference. Two of the chargers also put the phone into car mode.

According to my confirmation email the following third-party seller(s) and products were involved:
The Mobile Solutions Company items (Sold by AudioHaus,LLC):

In one sense the third party seller is at fault but this kind of thing has happened to me before when buying through Amazon. Presumably the reason I would buy from an unknown third-party seller via Amazon is that Amazon is in some way verifying the seller. But it's apparent that in reality Amazon is doing little or no research and is instead letting its customers figure out which sellers are running scams.
