Bought this to hook up a second monitor to my Mac Air for a three screen view. Literally plug in and play: just hooked it up, it was recognized immediately without a download (I may have been lucky there), re-ordered the monitor displays and off to the races. Great value. Arrived quickly (via Prime) and packaged beautifully. I couldn't recommend this more.

I bought this for a Thinkpad Tablet 2 because the VGA connector that worked from the dock was starting to get flaky. This one is way better. I'm amazed how well it works, plug and play, works every time. For future devices I will try this one before getting the official one, it works just as well. Also surprisingly little performance hit- if it had been an issue I would have noticed it on this device because it's a low powered Atom processor, but to me it seems to perform roughly the same when using the adapter as without. Can wholeheartedly recommend this adapter for Windows 8.1 devices.

Bought it to hook up my 3rd monitor. Setup was easy and it worked the very first try. I've been using it for a month now and I've experienced two issues so far - 1. When my PC powers on/ wakes up, all screens flicker for a few seconds before settling down. 2. When I use the monitor running the adapter, text doesn't appear as I type. There is a lag. So I only use the monitor to view stuff that doesn't change too rapidly.

This does the trick! The biggest downside was its use was overheating my laptop. I have no idea if that's something I can fix, is particular to something I was doing, etc. However, because of the overheating, I stopped using it. Still, I was excited that it enabled me to use a 3rd monitor (2nd external monitor).

Works seamlessly. Drop Cd in drive, click through auto install, hook up 3rd monitor and you are up and running. 5 minutes tops. Cheap alternative to buying a video card that supports 3 monitors. Makes good use out of that old vga flat screen that was sitting on the floor next to my two wide-format screens. Seriously, once you go 3 screens you will never go back. Productivity has gone through the roof. Guys walk into my office and within 10 seconds say: "Dude, are you running 3 screens?" My new set-up is the envy of even the IT guys who have all the toys....they asked me where to get one!!

Plugged into my AMD-based HP laptop running W7. Worked OK right away, but it changed my sound setting from onboard audio to the device itself, affecting my ability to listen to a webinar that was about to begin. The resolution to this was to go into the Control Panel/Hardware And Sound/Sound and change default device back to the original.

I went to the manufacturer's web site and downloaded the latest driver, however, that caused it to stop working! I then removed it, and had the driver via Windows Update reinstalled. Otherwise, it seems OK.

Worked exactly like it said on a Windows 7 desktop. Installed drivers, plugged it in, plugged in monitor, and extended desktop was achieved. Didn't even have to mess with any settings. Would have installed another graphics card to have 2 monitors, but being a low profile, compact style desktop, there isn't a lot of room and the cost of a low profile graphics card was $$$.
