When the exhaust hose for my Sharp CV-12PX fell apart after several years of use I needed a replacement. The Whynter was the perfect fit and size. Without this hose the system will not cool properly since the hot air would be vented into the room to be cooled. I tried a smaller duct until the Whyner arrived. However, the smaller duct could not get sufficient hot air out of the Sharp portable unit and the overheat fail safe kicked in. Once I installed the Whyner everything worked as it should.

In the website, it said this could extend to 5 feet, which is completely wrong. It at best could be 3 feet, which is the same as the one that comes with the AC.

We purchased a Windchaser portable A/C unit several years ago, and have used it each summer. I noticed that the last 4-6 inches of the exhaust hose were deteriorated - brittle and unraveling - presumably from the effects of the sun. So I have been trimming back the hose - shortening it - by about 6 inches a year. The hose is now barely long enough to make it to the window opening, so it is time for a replacement. This item is what Amazon displayed when I did a search, so I bought it. It appears to be identical to the hose I have been using, and so next year it will be pressed into service in the cause of a cooler house.

I had such a hard time finding a replacement hose for my portable AC unit. No one sells Amcor ACs anymore and I couldn't find replacement parts without having to pay high international shipping fees. Not much to say here. The outside diameter is a little smaller than the exhaust fittings on my portable ac unit, but it works. This exhaust hose is much stiffer than the one that came with my ac unit. Hopefully because of that, it lasts longer.

Bought this as a replacement hose for a Sharp air conditioner. It's not an exact one to one replacement. You have to use duct tape to get it to stay on either end of the fittings. That being said, this is a better hose than the original. It's thicker, stronger, and seems to keep the heat in just fine as it heads out the window. It's also way cheaper than the Sharp replacement, which costs over $100. Highly recommended!

It was difficult to install and barely stayed on. I had to place tape around it to keep it hooked on to my portable air conditioning. It needs to come with a connector or something. This product is very disappointing.
