Taste is very unique to each individual, but this is our favorite to date. Perfect medium salt level, tender popped kernels with a slight real buttery flavor.

We have also tried Great Northern, and Paramount popcorn, but the Gold Medal is by far the most tender. If you prefer a firmer Popcorn, the Great Northern would be our choice.

We have a 4oz Paragon small theater style popper we used for comparison.

Highly recommended popcorn
FYI - from some research I discovered that Fun-pop and Mega-pop are the same popcorn, just in different prepackaged sizes.

This is the popcorn I've been looking for. If you want the same tasty popcorn you enjoy at the theater or at fairs and carnivals, then this is the stuff you want. It will work in a Whirley-Pop popcorn popper or a regular kettle popper.You can just throw it in a pot on the stove if you want and it's still good, but for best results, I would recommend the first two methods. I can't stop eating it!

I've gone through 5 other brands and finally found the best one! Most all the kernels pop, the salt is mixed in with the kernels (vs. others that have a separate pouch and most ends up in the bottom outside of the kettle), and the flavor is the most like movie theater popcorn than any other.

If you want that just popped taste of theater popcorn, you have got to get these. Depending on the size of your popcorn kettle(2, 4, 6, etc oz.) you can make great popcorn with these premeasured packets

Some butter flavor, but not too much. I used it in my tiny popcorn kettle, which I think is only 2.5 oz. This is the smallest size kit I could find. There are several unpopped kernels when I am done, but I attribute that to having too many kernels trying to pop in my undersized kettle.

It does not taste like movie popcorn. It had a oil taste to it. I am a popcorn lover and know what good movie popcorn flavor is and unfortunately this brand does not make the cut. It will probably get used when I am out or maybe I can mix it with a good popcorn to dilute the flavor.

pretty amazing popcorn. using a costco popper, and it's great. tastes as close to movie theater popcorn as you'll find .. and no measuring, although i only use 1/2 the oil it comes with and it's better than using it all. maybe in a popper, it would use it all.. but in my home unit, 1/2 is plenty.

great seller experience product came really fast, I have a 8 oz kettle popper and side by side by side taste tested gold medal and great northern pre packs and great northern came out on top hands down in my crowd. It had a more authentic movie theater flavor. Gold medal had a lot less unpopped kernels and was a bit fluffier but had a cardboard texture we did not like i just lacked flavor and got stuck in teeth real bad. i will not be using going back to great northern brand while also trying many other brands along the way.
