New favorite toy! Austen, a 2yo rescue cat we adopted just recently, went nuts over this mouse. At first he shied away from the toy when the lights activated. But once he realized it was OK, he will play with it for almost an hour until he wears himself out. Agree that the blue lights are pretty bright, but that makes the fascination with this toy even more enticing. I'm afraid that the battery won't last long at the rate he plays with it.

My cats were not as thrilled about this mouse as the brown similar ones. This one squeaks a lot longer (a whole programmed string of squeaks, rather than just one squeak per tap like the brown ones) and it's louder. When we first used them, the cats were afraid of the light up feature, so we dubbed it the "psycho nighttime light up mouse". It's grown on my kitties though and they like it better now than when we got it over a year ago, but they still prefer the brown ones. I am surprised the mouse still squeaks and lights up a year later, but I'm not surprised about the feathers on this one being gone less than a month after getting it.

My bengal kitten LOVED this mouse from the minute I gave it to her. It is very cool, squeaking and lighting up when she plays with it. The ONLY reason I didn't give it a fifth star is because she kept me awake all night playing with it, and the squeaking, while it is cute at 3 PM, is very annoying at 3 AM. But, if you have a kitty that loves soft little mice to play with, and they're not afraid of sound toys, this is truly a great little mousey.

Put it up at night or you WILL hear it or step on it!! My two Maine Coon kittens love this, Be sure to supervise any toy with added feathers, bells, strings, etc...No toy lasts forever when its chewed on, batted around, hitting every surface available!!! Just like toddlers, they don't know it can hurt them if swallowed!!! A LOT of fun for kitty and you!!!

Oh these are just too cool. I need to get another one. I have 2 kitties so I normally buy everything in 2's. Since this was the first time I've tried anything that lights up and such, I only got 1 to start with. I wasn't sure what part lit up. It's the eyes that flash blue. It squeaks like the other squeaky mice. But these are just sooooo cool. My kitties love it. They're notorious for knocking their toys under things. This mouse doesn't squeak only when they're touched or jolted. These continue squeaking for several seconds after contact/movement, which is nice when it ends up under something. The flashing blue eyes make it easier for them to find it underneath things, so they can fetch them. I would definitely recommend them. I need to buy at least 1 more before my kitties think I'm playing favorites.

I like this, and more importantly my cat likes this, but I took a star off because the blue light blinds the hell out of/wakes me up if I accidentally come into contact in the dark. Why not red or green light up eyes (wavelengths that won't wake the human up, unlike the blue wavelengths that do)?

I thought this was so cute and a great idea. Loved that it lights up. Well one of my babies loved it until it lite up and then ran from it scared. I thought, gee I guess I'll have to put it up - but then another baby (I have three) decided it was the greatest thing. She loves it when it lights up. I hear it at night and see it flash. Since the one that seems to love it is the one that needs exercise I've been really happy that she loves playing with it. The others do not seem to want to take it away from her. So it will depend on your pet - I love it since one of my babies seems to get great joy from it.

My cat usually loves squeaky toys and I thought this would be a winner for sure. Sadly the squeak is too electronic sounding. She prefers her other squeaky mice which only squeak when she pats/kicks them. This one has a mechanical routine; when you pat it once, it beeps for a while. I say "beeps" because that's what it sounds like. The cat can tell the difference as it turns out. The lights didn't seem to matter much to my cat.
