The listing does not indicate how the measurements are made. I wasn't sure if the size referred to total clamp size or size of the piece the clamp would secure.
I ended up buying the 1/4, 1/2, and 1 inch just in case.
It turns out the measurement is the size of the piece that will fit inside the clamp, not the total clamp size. I've uploaded a picture showing where the measurement is taken. When the clamp is fully closed it will grip an item that size very snugly.

I bought these to install the 3/4" split conduit by the same manufacturer. Unfortunately, the sizing is a little confusing. The 3/4" size is with the clamps open, as shown in the picture. I also measured the inside diameter as less than 3/4", even with them open as shown. As you can see, there is a gap between the ends, so by the time you pinch the ends together, you would be hard pressed to get a ½" conduit to fit inside. If they had put that in the description "holds ½" conduit, it would have made it easy to understand. The clamps are also not "clean". There is a lot of "flashing" (the left over thin border of plastic when the piece is taken out of the mold) which was a little sharp, and also detracts from the cosmetics of the bracket. If you do install them, these may not be an issue for you, but I expected better quality, because my conduit runs along the roof and is visible. The other problem with the bracket is that the hole for the screw that would hold the bracket to the wall, is way too big. You would need a very large screw head or use a large washer (with a small hole) so that smaller screws would hold the bracket in place. Very disappointed because I had scheduled to install the conduit etc., on my day off, but I had to wait to get brackets that would actually work. Got "U" brackets from my local home improvement store, that worked well.

These are great cable clamps. Being that it is plastic, you don't have to worry about it cutting into your cables like how metal ones sometimes do. Also, since I run network CAT5E cable and other computer cables for clients, they are really pleased when I use these clamps. It gives their work area a nice clean finish. That makes them feel good and makes your work look good which in turn makes you look good.

I highly recommend using these clamps whenever you install cables at a job site.

Works as described. I am on my 2nd pack of 100. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5, is because they Crack easily under pressure of a screw. I am using a drill gun, but even when trying to be careful, they Crack at times.

I used these to install rope lighting along the roof edge to see the path better. These worked well for that purpose but they "shattered" when the screw was drilled in too tight.
