There is no way this frame was originally listed at $104.99! That is a blatant lie for marketing purposes.

Pros:
-It's not too bad for the price if you're just framing a poster.
-It's very lightweight.
-The vender was very prompt with shipping and delivery.

Cons:
-The wood composite looks and feels like a cheap plastic material painted black, minus the high gloss.
-It's flimsy and appears thinner than the advertised picture.
-It bows slightly and does not sit completely flush against the wall.
-You have to assemble the hanging hardware yourself. (as advertised)

Overall, I would buy this poster frame again if it came down to about $10.00. In all fairness, I feel that's closer to what it's actually worth. It does the job as long as you stick to something cheap like a poster. Don't buy this frame to display actual art.

These frames are a very poor advertisement for USA made items (which I try to buy whenever possible)

Products:
- Very cheap made
- Super light, not sure what kind of wood composite this is, but it feels like cardboard
workmanship is terrible
- If you have good artwork or precious things to display, keep looking
- Even though they are cheap, the price point / value is not close to equal

Bottom line: I can't recommend these USA made frames from this seller because the quality is simply not there for what you pay for.

Best thing about this entire purchase was the packaging. Nothing could possibly have gone wrong en route.. but its overkill in my opinion.
The packaging seemed to have cost far, far more than the actual product. I wish the money had gone into whats supposed to hang on my wall, not the trash.

They are sub-par, especially if you want to hang anything nicer than a cheap poster. They are extremely overpriced for what you receive. For reference, I am a professional photographer, and I ordered TWELVE 12x18 frames because I was not able to find that many identical 12x18 frames in the stores I checked and I need to put up a display at a local restaurant.

Pros:
* Lightweight. Not worried about them falling off the wall.
* Unlike some other reviewers, I don't mind the plexiglass. No marks on it, and I can see my photos clearly through it.
* The shipping was fast since I ordered them through Prime.
* The picture wire hang kit is decent, but in my opinion, not needed for the 12x18. I saved them for other heavier projects and just nailed in sawtooth hooks instead.
* They were packed well and arrived undamaged.

Cons:
* They look cheap. I was expecting something smoother, and they are more bumpy with a matte texture than I expected.
* You do not get any kind of good quality backing with these. It is just cheap corrugated cardboard. Even Wal-Mart does better than that.
* These are not true 12x18 frames. I had to trim all of my photos horizontally and vertically to fit (probably close to a quarter of an inch).
* I can't say that I'm thrilled to be attaching hanging hardware to all of these things...

I can't believe the prices on these frames I bought from Craig. No, I didn't use glass, but I didn't want it, and I did upgrade 3 of them (of 5 total) to the acrylic and completed my own custom framing job for a tiny fraction of what a store would have cost me, and they look great. I was framing vintage poster prints, and my word, art.com wanted 3 times what I ended up paying, for basically the same thing. Specifically, I was really happy with the quality and look of these frames for the price. I looked around for a while and didn't know what I was going to get in person, but they compliment my dining room well - simple and sleek, but not too plain. And I love that they came with all the hardware I needed, and though I wasn't thrilled with putting on the D-rings myself, Craig's website had easy-to-follow instructions. I'm also not sure it's essential to upgrade from the plastic to acrylic, but my huge windows were going to be shining right on these, so to be safe, I did. There's still glare, though maybe not as much, and the clarity does look good. Craig had them pretty well protected and everything was together - custom mats plus acrylic, so it was relatively easy to put in my prints and hang them.

Arrived well packed, easy to insert the 24x36 poster without tools. Actually looks great - it is not a $1200 art frame but well worth the great price I paid. Not at all cheap looking when mounted up high on the wall.
