I initially purchased 3 of these collars in different colors and all had the powder-paint evenly applied. Unfortunately, I needed larger sizes than I had initially ordered. I re-ordered and am disappointed to find that some of the re-order has paint missing where links join. They look like they were used for a year by someone else! ONE of them (the lime green) is in perfect condition. Otherwise I do like them, the colors are bright. I ordered, lime green, pink and purple initially. On my re-order I added blue (electric blue) and red.
Poor production control, is my guess. One other suggestion for those who have heavily coated dogs - go up one size or you will find it difficult to get the collar out of heavy neck fur.

Well made and nice looking for my dogs. Plus it doesn't pinch their short hairs or skin. Use this on walks and at dog parks. My dogs are a lot more obedient. Keep in mind this will hang low when you have it on them but when you're anticipating a correction pull it up to the top of their neck to maximum effectiveness and less harm to their trachea. My dogs learned quick not to be a brat to people and other dogs. Plus they looked nice.

I had this on my 70 lb dog; and still going strong.

I wanted a collar that I could leave on the leash and slip over Pippin's head for our walks. He gets so excited he practically slips his little head in himself. The colored material keeps the chain from pulling on his coat. I am really happy with this collar. There is a correct way to use this training collar. You never want to choke your dog. It is meant to hang loose and only tighten a tiny bit for a correction. It must immediately loosen again. Dogs will learn to self correct just from the noise of a collar starting to tighten. Please read how to use this collar on-line or learn from knowledgable dog trainer. The snap of the leash should be able to hang down freely. Never ever choke your dog.

Usually a collar is a collar is a collar. It works well for that purpose, the difference is this collar makes a style statement. It has a colorful weave running thru it. It may add nothing o the utility of the collar but is may make the owner feel better.

These are well made chokes - and the little nylon webbing threaded within the links takes a very functional but harsh looking collar and makes it look pretty! I ordered the wrong size and returned them - but immediately ordered more in the correct size! in fact, I liked them so much I ordered twice as many in my reorder as in my original order!
