I bought this on the strength of the manufacturer's reputation for high-quality auto products. For example, I use their oil filters, which are quite well-made.

However, this cabin air filter won't do well in my vehicle, a 2010 Altima. Why? It doesn't have a pull-tab on the side. Because of the location and small insertation opening in the housing under the dash, it's very difficult to extract a used filter that doesn't have a pull-tab from the housing. I know, I've tried. It's a small point but there's almost no easy way to remove the air filter if it doesn't have a pull-tab.

So I returned it and purchased the "TYC 800107P Nissan Altima Replacement Cabin Air Filter," which appears as well built as the WIX filter and includes a pull-tab on the side. Why make a frustrating job more difficult than it has to be?

Fit my 2007 Nissan Altima great! the stock filter was a pain in the hind parts to remove as I accidentally pushed it back into the housing haha.. But once I got it figured out the install was easy. Here is a link to a youtube video too assist other first-timers like myself on how to install this product:

If you are doing it on the same car I did, the plate covering the filter housing is behind another big plastic priece, that you don't see in the video, and the plate is actually very small, but other than that the video is pretty much 100% accurate on how to complete the install.

WIX makes excellent filters and this one is no exception. Installation in a 2008 Altima is a little difficult because of the tight clearances. If you inspect this filter and the OEM side-by-side, they look identical.

The only reason I didn't give five stars is because some of these in cabin air filters come with a small tab on the side for easier removal. This one did not. Other than that this is a great air filter. It is a little tricky to install but a lot cheaper than the dealership.

I bought this to replace my cabin air filter in my 2011 Nissan Altima and it was fairly easy to install. It does a great job in keeping out the odors and my AC Strength hasn't diminished at all. It has been about 9000 miles and it still looks good. Doesn't need replacement yet.

It is better than the OEM Replacement as it is cheaper and it has the pull tab for easy removal -- as you know for the 4th Gen Altima, it is a pain to replace the filter, and WIX helps make it easier for a filter replacement with the removal tab.
