I love my go baby fabric square cutter - I've had it for over a year, and a friend just bought one after having borrowed mine. HOWEVER, I forgot that ordering the go baby did not include the die or the cutting mat. She got her go baby, but cant use it because the die and mat were not included. I suggest - strongly suggest that in the information provided on the ordering page you state that this order is only for the go baby, and not for any necessary dies or mats. I didn't mind buying them -just should have known that they were not included.

This is really for appliqueing, not quilting. It doesn't cut a large stack out at a time, just a few layers.
Read carefully. It doesn't come with the cutting mat, and it doesn't come with ANY dies so you can't test it out of the box if you haven't planned ahead. The mat and dies are pretty expensive and of course you can't use crafting store coupons on them. By that price point, you might as well have gotten either the programmable Bernina or the the full Accuquilt Go! if you're doing a lot of quilting with bigger pieces because the max size of the cutouts is pretty small - maybe 4."
It's fine - too bad the accessories you NEED to use it are separate and very expensive on top of the very expensive and fairly limited machine.
I'm returning or re-gifting it.

I purchased this to help my cutting go faster, the problem is that it actually took even longer than simply using my rotary cutter. It's probably great for the more intricate cutouts, but for basic quilts, it's a hassle.

I was sooooo excited to get this, have been wanting it for a long time. It cuts out shapes with incredible speed (you'll give up your rotary cutter, and despise your scissors), it really does make cutting out a quilt fast. Only problem I've had (and it doesn't have to do with the cutter as much as the dies), but it doesn't always cut out the entire shape. With about every cut, or every other cut; you have to snip the threads it missed- with scissors. Some dies are worse than others for this.

The product is appealing to the eye - cute even - but I think I like the concept more than the actual product, Go! Baby. I have owned Go! Baby for a year, and have used it only a few times; it's not fun at all, like I thought it would be. I absolutely love the idea of cutting out difficult patterns, several at a time, but Go! Baby takes some muscle to use - and no, I'm not a weakling, disabled or lazy. Rolling the die, the fabric, and the pad through the mechanism is not an easy feat. The end result does look good, the fabric shapes look like they are supposed to, and are fairly uniform in size. You also have to buy all dies separately - which I did. I really think the cutter should come with at least one simple die! I have used the apple core die the most. I'm not thrilled, and I had such high expectations. My attitude toward this is surprising to me, too, I generally love quilting tools, and I don't normally think of myself as hard to please. I do hope this gets easier to use with time, but I don't hold out much hope that I will use this much. I am reluctant to invest more $$ to buy a bigger, more expensive cutter...I doubt I would like it any better. I would rate it so-so, at best.

This litte Go Baby really is a time saver. It allows me to cut several layers at a time saving me alot of time at the cutting table. I love the way all the pieces are so precise which makes piecing much easier. A must for any quilter.

Cutting mat and rotary cutter are much faster. Much fabric is wasted. It takes a muscle woman to crank four layers of pretty thin cotton through the machine. The cutter isn't aligned correctly and presses down too tightly on one side....there's always a green plastic residue on one side of the cutter's platform. Don't waste your money unless you want to just use it to cut out appliques.

Need to use it more to really have an accurate idea, but the first whirl went well and cut out the appliques beautifully and saved me a ton of time. Now I will be able to applique more often and look forward to trying out my square die to make a little baby quilt.
