I go through a lot of beads for crafting. Although these beads many not be of the highest quality, the hold up well, and this is the brand I prefer to buy. I have ordered the same brand, size, and color and on a few occasions the beads have been different shades, and o a few times different textures. What i have found ia that Darice is made in the USA as well as China, and on these occacions that has been the difference. Like all mass produced items, you will have some beads without a hole, not cut correctly, with a jagged edge or two, and some may even be broken. All mass produce products have this potential. For the price these pony beads are the best i have come across. I have no complaints. They hold up well, are glossy, and the color is pretty true to picture. I would recommend these beads to anyone. Great value.

I ordered this bucket because my kids had made a couple of perler bead projects with their friends and they wanted some for their own. I wanted to get the most value out of them which is why I ordered this bucket. You will get a lot of colors and beads which can be tedious when trying to find specific colors for specific projects. I decided to start sorting them. I am using two muffin tins right now and it has taken me a week (an hour or two at a time) to sort an eighth of the bucket. For the value I would buy these again since my kids are only into these when I find something cute on Pinterest to make, but with any tedious projects I would buy the beads by color.

Do lots of Cub Scout camps and we go through tens of thousands of beads each year, these are the exact same brands that my local craft store has but for 1 bag of these I have to get 3 or 4 bags to get the quantity and with free prime shipping I ge them in a few days.

Fantastic for when you need a lot of beads for something... in this case as the stations for a scavenger hunt. We ordered seven colors and there was nothing really to complain about except it seemed like there were a few (like 1-5) incompletely molded beads in each bag. They were a "C" shape instead of an "O". Otherwise good value for the money, and arrived quickly.

We used these beads for a Girl Scout craft & they worked great! We didn't find any unusable beads and had plenty available to complete our craft. If using these for a kid's project, I'd suggest using something to put them in for easy access & containment - we used cheap cupcake liners & they were perfect. Once you open the bag the beads kind of go everywhere!! I opened the bag & put the beads in a zip-loc style bag for easier transport to/from our meeting, then we used the cupcake liners to keep the beads contained while completing the craft.

All-in-all these were a good purchase - just the size we needed & all formed the way they are supposed to be!

I've ordered a handful of bead bags from Darice, and while the yellow label "Pony Beads" are actually 8mm, the blue label "Craft Designer" beads are truly 9mm, so I will stick with those from now on.

We go through a significant amount of pony beads for a fundraiser we do every year (20000+). We usually buy them in 500 bead increments and thought this was a great deal until the beads arrived...and they were the same standard size bag (with 500ish beads), but stated they had 720-1000 beads inside. Even verifying by weight, there was NO WAY these beads were 1000 count, let alone 720. Super disappointed to have to make ANOTHER purchase to make up for the lost beads.
