I have a size 6 of this series and a 1/4 stripper of their 3012S series. I wish I had more.

These are giving my sable and sable blend brushes a bit of competition for my go to brushes with watercolor washes. These hold a lot of water. Perhaps the most water holding ability I've seen in a synthetic/synthetic blend so far. (The next up in my collection would be my goat hair brushes.) Being a synthetic blend, these also work well with super thin acrylic washes. Acrylic paint washes easily (once again making sure not to load the entire brush and not to let the paint dry.) Recently I've been testing these brushes on using watercolors on paper clay. So far this has provided a good result, but I find myself going back and forth with this and a thicker synthetic or natural type brush for fine details. The material here appears to be forgiving. Frays or damaged hairs so far, I've been able to shape back into the brush with a bit of water and soap.

(Once again my personal preference. Everyone will have their own choice brush for whatever paint/surface) I prefer using sable and sable blend brushes for more control detail and drier watercolor techniques with paper that can't take a lot of water. I've been using these brushes for washes and layering to some fine detail. I also use these on materials that can stand the extra water these brushes hold. So far paper/air dry clay with watercolor has been a nice use for this brush. I can imagine these also working well with inks and dyes. I'd imagine silk would be great too.

Unbelievably good. Heard a lot of positive reviews of them from others, but didn't realise how good these silver brushes are until I bought my #8. Fall in love instantly. Holds so much water, controlled constant release, and perfect snap point. I came back and ordered all the others in the black velvet line, square washes, oval wash, more rounds.loving them. And sooo much cheaper than my window Newton series 7 brushes who can't even hold the fine tip (after buying 3 series 7 brushes and 2 didn't end up hold the fine point).

I don't know how these hold so much pigment. It is unbelievable. These are soft brushes, so not universal, but very, very nice for washes. Also I can travel outside the US without worrying about the Fish & Wildlife Service confiscating them when I return.

The Silver Brushes are the best I have ever used. They make the paint flow on to the paper and smoother.
The brushes hold more watercolor gouache and watercolor paints. Now I can load my brush with more COLOR.
