These metric thread casters are made to fit the Origami folding shelf unit. I did not have a metric thread tap to clean the threads on the shelving, and that was where the trouble started. All of the threads were contaminated with welding spatter, which made the wheels thread into them stubbornly. The simple little stamped "wrench" provided bent out of shape very quickly and became useless. I had to grind down an old metric wrench of my own (there is very little space to fit a wrench between the top of the wheel and the shelf rack leg) to allow me to install these.
One of the threaded inserts on the shelves was welded crooked, such that the four installed wheels would not allow the shelves to sit or roll evenly. I had to grind off the original shoddy welding and re-fixture the insert to re-weld.
Once all of these problems were corrected, the wheels perform as expected. Hopefully, your threaded inserts on your shelves will not be as badly welded as mine were. You may want to buy 4 metric bolts to thread into the inserts to (1) clear the threads of any welding spatter BEFORE trying to install the wheels, and (2) to observe any alignment issues with the inserts (which would be obvious with the bolts extended from them).

The racks themselves (without wheels) have a weight capacity of 250 lbs.

These are the ones that come with the racks when they come with wheels.

These 3 inch wheels from Origami have a weight capacity 150 lbs.

The 4 inch wheels from Origami have a weight capacity 170 lbs.

Not worth it in my mind, but your needs may vary.

I am very please with the Origami Heavy Duty Wheel set made for the Origami shelves. Two of the wheels have a lock. They are very sturdy, smooth rolling and even came with a wrench. You'll never have to worry about these wheels falling out from under the shelf!

Fit my origami bookshelf perfectly. Installation was a breeze and now my bookshelf rolls which makes life easier. The origami shelves themselves are a miracle. I have never been able to build a bookcase in 30 seconds or less. Just like the bookcases these wheels are wonderful quality. Extremely heavy and are obviously built to last. All I had to do was turn my book case over and place in the holes, tighten a little and viola we are done! Maybe a minute tops. They also are not damaged into hardwood flooring which I was worried about. Our home is over 70 years old and these have not left a single mark on our floors. I plan on buying another set for our larger bookcase.

If you buy the Origami Shelf with wheels, you better get these at the same time and save yourself some hassle. The little wheels that come with the shelf just melted under a small amount of weight. Melted around the axel I meant.

I got these wheels to go with me Origami shelf that I ordered. They were a reasonable price and VERY EASY to install. All the pieces were included.
