Not very sturdy. Might make a nice kids toy. I needed this for use in outdoor environments/ weather. The box & Clipboard appear to be of thick cardboard material. Not water resistant. The metal parts and strap are of decent quality but since they are attached to the cardboard it defeats itself. I was expecting normal clipboard material covered in plastic. It'll do for now But I don't expect it to last long. Will update if it proves to be better that it seems.

My husband purchased this for his work. He was looking for a smaller clipboard that he could keep shipping labels in. What he didn't realize was that the inside of it is actually only 5" x 8". The included notepad fits perfectly. With these dimensions, it did not work for it's intended purpose, so he gave it to our son (then we had to purchase another one for our daughter). It is very sturdy, and has been tossed around quite a bit without getting damaged (but it is strong enough to damage our wood floor). My son loves to lock it, but I find it difficult with the tiny little key. We then have trouble keeping track of where the tiny little key is. The pocket on the inside is great for keeping pencils/crayons/paint brushes in, and the clip holds the paper nicely for them to draw on. The strap makes it very easy for them to carry around, and then hang on the chair, the door, his bed... If someone doesn't want the strap on, it is removable. The surface of it is a bit bumpy, and the logo on the bottom corner would bother me if I was using it to write on, but my kids don't mind those things. Overall, it is nicely made for the price if this is the size you are looking for.

If the form you are using is the same size as the board you will have problems.The clip is low so form will hang overthe end also there is an emblem write on the writing surface.Open it up and ofcourse it is smaller forms don't fit.

ok so the pad of paper that came inside wasn't too big for mine... i've found the small size to be ok... i didn't read the size correctly before i bought it and was surprised that it was smaller than a sheet of paper... but have realized that its actually perfect for what i needed....

this okay for holding small items that you dont want to chase around inside a clipboard... as far as it coming with a note pad inside..wrong! not only that it does not, it cant!! the size pad stated is too big. maybe that's why it doesn't come with one! DUH. would not by again.
