FACTS - YOUR DOG WILL LOVE IT. My dog refuses to drink/eat unless I place food and water in this elevated feeder. It makes a world of a difference. If you have a large dog purchase the bigger size otherwise it will be a waste. You can fill with about 11/2 qt of water and not 2 qt as described, which is no big deal to me. Very easy to remove lid and containers unlike some reviews I read. The container is big enough for a 30 lbs bag of food. I don't think you can put a 47 lbs in it as described (again 30 lbs is a very large bag). I was afraid of being bigger than I wanted due to looks but the size is just perfect. I have a 85 lbs German Shepherd and it is just fine. Regarding water splashing it does happen but I don't think you can prevent with any bowl. The advantage is it goes under the food bowl (just a little) and not on top of the food. I clean the water bowl often anyway since my dog likes fresh water. Just keep a cloth handy. I have attached some pictures for you to view. You will not regret this purchase. The lid can be removed very easily even if bowl of water is full in case you need to reach the food underneath. I would only suggest vendor to add a second hole on the other side of the bowl so you could remove easily but again no big deal. Easy to clean (much better than wood/metal since plastic does not get damaged/rust with water), easy to use, very study, perfect height. It has a clean look as well. This is one of the best purchases I ever made for my dog and I buy a lot for him...I have attached multiple pictures to help you with your decision. Enjoy since I know you will buy it...lol

I used this to replace an expensive wooden set. This is so easy to keep clean; the top is sealed, even under the dishes, so water doesn't get into the storage area and ruin the food below. It holds a huge bag of food - a necessity, since we have 4 dogs. The smoke color is a nice complement to my black kitchen appliances. It really solved all my dog dish problems...and it arrived quickly!

Really pleased with this elevated feeder, no more clunky bag of dog food sitting in the kitchen. Always buy 35 pound bags because they are cheaper, too big for the pantry and I don't like running to the basement either. Thought it might be hard to get food with water in bowl but its not, just unlock, set top angled across and scoop out food.My dog has adjusted well also, she did not have an elevated feeder before. Very pleased with this product.

I have an 8mo German Shepherd and I looked around for other elevated feeders and for under $40 I could not find anything that seemed sturdy enough or high enough for him. He stands 27" at the whithers and will get a little taller once full grown so I wanted something he would not out grow. The food storage combo is a great idea and I use 33Lb bag kibble that fits perfectly with extra room for his scoop.
He used to pick up his food bowls and toss them about and now he can't do that since they fit into the lid area. What takes getting used to is; when I have to feed him, I have to take his water bowl out of the enclosure so it doesn't spill into the other bowl. I have him sit/stay while I get his food so if you have a dog that doesn't do this, then he/she will have an open trough to go to town while you are getting the food as the lid has to come off to access the food. No good, he did it once and now I have him wait!
It is well worth the purchase because you have the food storage and elevated feeder combined and he can't smell the food to try getting to it when left to his own devices. Plus, I now have freed up cupboard space!

Good for Breeds: Boxer, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Husky, Malamute,Lab, Mastiff....the considered Large breeds

I live in a very tiny New York apartment with a 75 lbs Catahoula Leopard Hound. This holds the 30 lbs bag of dry food I buy for him. I love it. I bought the black one and was surprised it actually hides the food more than the picture shows. It can be kind of awkward to remove the dishes to get the food, but its worth it with the amount of space I'm saving. I'm happy!

The idea of having the food container and the elevated contained bowl set all together seemed like a great idea, but the tradeoffs are too many for us to keep using this.
It takes a some sequencing and coordination to use since taking the top off to load the food bowl with a already filled water bowl can make a mess. If you had an impatient, crowding dog (fortunately ours is not), it would be even more an adventure. Filling the water bowl after starting the food is not a great idea for anyone with a dog who has any food aggression (again fortunately not an issue for us). Our sequencing typically involves filling the water bowl part way and then loading the food. More often than not, I end up taking the whole thing to the sink/counter to set up (may not be aesthetically pleasing to many).
The biggest issue is that when our 60lb dog slops water out of the bowl while drinking, it flows to its lowest point, which means in the plastic well under each of the two bowls...and we find the bowls floating in the resulting puddle. This leads to the second reason to take the whole unit to the sink...to dump out the top. Perhaps this would be less an issue if we purchased the larger size with 2qt bowls and only filled the water bowl part way...but perhaps not and we're not going to take that chance
We will likely keep it around for when we travel with our dog, but are transitioning back to separate bowl sets and a food container...much simpler, much cleaner.
