I received two of the black rods today for our bedroom.

The pros: We have two sets of very wide windows so it's been hard to find a decent rod that didn't cost an arm and a leg. They look even better in person. I was originally looking for a simple ball finial at the end but it wasn't available in the longer size. I'm glad we got these and they are more elegant. The rod is wider in diameter than other rods in our home so I would recommend grommet curtains, or make sure you have good size rod pockets, tab top or back tab curtains. There are three rods and three brackets. The middle rod is 1 1/4" in diameter and the two end rods are 1 1/8" in diameter. When installing the brackets just keep in mind that the middle bracket holds the widest rod so you'll want to adjust positioning of the bracket just a hair so the rods lay level. The brackets are adjustable so you can adjust how far the rod is away from the wall. This is nice if you have thick window trim instead of flush drywall with no window trim. I have grommet curtains that was helpful to be able to bring it out a hair so they hung nicely when they are pulled to the side. The little plugs that keep the rod in place have rubber tips which I also found to be a nice touch. It holds the rods in place better so they don't move when opening and closing the curtains, and that way if they do move a hair, they don't scratch the rod like my other rods in the house. I would also recommend installing the brackets vertically as shown in the instructions, instead of horizontally. Vertically is the best to ensure a strong hold in the wall.

The cons:

* The screws provided are kind of cheap and strip easily so if you are using a drill just be sure to put firm pressure on it or get better screws.Read more ›

Great product- I used it span a 16 FT series of French doors (3 sets of doors). Don't believe the reviews that say this doesn't meet the advertised length.

Pros
* Strength, no rod sags- able to install a 16 FT length with only 3 supports. One on each end plus one in the middle. Rod does not sag at all. Allows you to open the curtains all the way and bunch them closest to wall vs. having many bunches on the wall if more supports were req'd

* Appearance- brushed nickel provides a contemporary look

* Easy to install. Rods assemble easily by installing the smaller diameter pieces into the larger diameter and then alternating the fits

Cons
* Rod is a bit thick. Make sure curtains have large enough hole to fit thru rod
* When sliding curtains back and forth, sometimes they get stuck on the transition between rods. Requires a little tug to free it. This is to be expected given the length it spans and the number of rods required to meet the req'd length.

Would buy this again in a heartbeat!

I was looking for a matte gold rod to hang in the nursery and rolled the dice ordering one from Amazon. It ended up being better than I expected. It feels very sturdy. I will say that the rod knobs were a little scratched to the metal, but not enough for me to return it. Plus, I was able to just spin that side to the back and no one will know. I've ordered a second gold rod for another wall in the nursery and am excited to get it up.

I wanted white curtain rods to temporarily hang reflective fabric for my LED green screen system for a video studio I built in my office. I was looking for white so that when I put away all the video equipment the hardware and rods would blend in, which they do. The rods are very sturdy and long and look nice. I was able to use regular shower curtain hooks to hook my green screen fabric to it. The hardware is not at all flimsy and also can be extended. To my surprise, they are very sturdy even extended! The one thing I would point out however is that it is a 3-piece rod with the wider rod in the middle and the narrower rods on the ends (for extending) which means that there will be "bumps" where the wider rod and narrower rods join on both ends of the wider center rod. If you are opening and closing curtains a lot using these, the curtain rings will probably need some extra help (not on the opening but on the closing when they will have to "jump the bump" -- just a warning). Otherwise, I am very happy with these. Oh, and be prepared for a large size box to arrive with the rod in it. I made the mistake of delivering to my home and then having to get them to my office. Ooops!

These rods are very easy to use and install. The base pad which is attached to the wall is an oval that is 1.2" by 2.05" wide. I will attach some photos of the base here.

I was delighted when I opened a well packed Curtain rod its so long no kidden like 12 foot.It shipped fast and I was even more surprised at how well made it looks,Just right to cover two windows and make it look like a wall of curtains,or even try to imagine a large foyer enterance way with this above door really nice idea.I love the color I have walnut,the finish is painted to look faux.I was lucky to buy rod on sale for $15.00 dollars with free shipping.Go ahead and treat yourself to a really well made rod.It is heavy and handle with care,I smacked my cat off the play station just trying to ajust the length.So handle with care, :)
