I used to use eyeliner (gel/liquid/pencil) but as I've grown older have begun to use this instead. Need some definition but sharp lines don't help anymore :)
This is creamy but does not smudge, goes on smoothly and lightly without pulling at the skin. I'm really not very good at applying makeup but with the right brush (I use the Sigma E65), this looks ok. The brown has some sparkle and shades nicely.

One real bonus point - I have eczema flare-ups and dry sensitive skin - with eye products I have to be super careful or it gets itchy very easily. Have not had any reaction.

Overall, I'd give it 5 stars (it's SO nice to be able to put on makeup without worrying) but minus 0.5 stars for a few things:
1. Be very very sparing in the amount you put on the brush and wipe off excess before you apply, a very little goes a long way.
2. Seems to leak inside the cap (not outside, or this review would be far less happy). The stuff comes out very easily from the applicator so that when you open it after carrying it around a while, there is a lot of it and some works its way into the cap's threads so I find myself wiping that a lot - wouldn't want a real leak. I have the feeling half of this is going to end up on tissues. Still, if you have my skin problems, this is a good product.

I tried this eyeliner as an alternative to (1) pencils which slowly disappear and smear, (2) liquid eyeliners which are a hassle to put on, and (3) gel eyeliners which require serious skill. This works well. It goes on smooth, dries quickly, lasts all day without color fade, and is easy to put on and take off. Sold.

Yes, it breaks. I had read review that this would break easily. But I had used one elsewhere andI like the quality of the content a lot. (The eye powders themselves.) So I got one. But the reviewers weren't wrong. Mine cracked apart on both sides, making it impossible to use. It's a pity. An expensive product with a very nice double- pplicator and a poorly designed container. I understand Iredale usually does better. It's tempting to mail it back to that company and ask for the money back.

This is a nice product EXCEPT upon opening the new non smokey colored side, I could not close it back into the casing! It seemed as if the "spring" that allows you to push and cover the side you are using was defective. Now I just push the broken side into the casing and hold it down and put tape around the cover....not the way a new product should work. Very disappointed in a product that I paid good money for!!!

Haven't been too impressed with this liner. Thus far the positive is that I haven't had any serious allergic reaction to it, as I did with all other purple shade eyeliners that I have tried. That being said, it is just your average liner.

I am throwing out the black eyeliner and buying lots more of these! I found it in a magazine, Sarah Jessica Parker uses it and I love a shimmer and a mild aqua so I figured what the hell. Whenever I did black eyeliner and darker eye shadow, my eyes always faded and you could basically not see them. These colors bring out my eyes and make them pop! I love the lighter shimmer in the corners of my eyes, on my eyelids, and a little underneath. It makes you look fresh faced and naturally great! great buy!!

I bought this because it was rated well on EWG. The color is loose powder that is located in the two end capsules. The wand in the center has foam applicator ends that screw down and sit into the powder capsule ends ends. The powder doesn't do a great job if you want to go darker or lighter. There seems to only be one mode: subtle color. I've tried digging the wand down into the ends to get more color, but I haven't been successful at getting the color to go on my eye any darker. It's an interesting concept, but in the end I was left with the impression of "meh." Vendor shipped super quickly. No hassles with them at all, but the product is just ok.

Definitely smudged. Had to use an eyelid primer from bare minerals to make it stick. Not smudgeproof on it's own. Relatively safe ingredients however (based on information at ewg.org/skindeep website) upgrade this to a 3-star product.
