I purchased this keyboard to use with my Acer A100 tablet. Unfortunately the A100 only has a slave usb port. The keyboard requires a host usb port. What this means is that the A100's usb port is only used for connecting to another computer for data transfer. It will not work with any other usb device such as a keyboard, flash drive etc.

I still give it four stars because I think it is very well made/designed, with solid keys. I am using it now to type this review on my MacBook.

So make sure your tablet has a host usb port before you buy any usb accessory. You may have to check with your tablet manufacturer. And it does not matter if you have a regular, mini or micro usb port - it just has to be a HOST port.

This is a great case. My Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" fits in nicely. I used a USB adapter (Black Female USB OTG Cable Adapter for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1/8.9/P7500/P7510) for my Galaxy Tab, and when I hooked it up to the tablet the keyboard worked instantly.

It is definitely fake leather, but the textured finish and white stitching make it look very nice. The clips work well but the tablet can fall out if jarred hard enough. (But I'm not concerned about it - I don't plan on dropping it!)

The keyboard is TIGHT. I knew this though so it's not a negative to me. The small form-factor outweighs the increased effort in typing. With a little extra thought you can type reasonably fast. The shift is located on the other side of the "up" arrow and that threw me off for a while but then I realized it is actually in the perfect spot ergonomically. You just have to relax and let your pinky go to where it wants to and not where you "think" it should go.

The keys feel a little ... cheap (I suppose is the best word). But they function well and are much better than I was expecting at this price point. The stylus is pointless other than holding the USB cable so that it and the adapter don't flap all over the place.

All-in-all, for the price ($12) this is an excellent product. At twice the price it is still a great value.

I received a Kindle Fire for Christmas and wanted a couple of cases, depending on how I was using. Maylong MK-200 was advertised to fit the Kindle Fire BUT IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE KINDLE FIRE. Advertising should be updated. I ordered an adapter because I knew the port sizes were different. I waited for about 3 weeks for the product to arrive as it ships from Hong Kong. When I plugged everything in, it did not work. I contacted Amazon for technical support only to find that this product is not compatible. Amazon people know their products so next time, before I purchase, I WILL CALL AND ASK IF THE PRODUCT IS COMPATIBLE. This product may work great for other tablets but it is not universal and not for the Kindle Fire.

UPDATE: the updated Android 4.2 for Google's Nexus 7 tablet no longer has a fixed portrait-mode home screen.
You won't have to turn the keyboard sideways to view the home screen comfortably.

===

Since this keyboard uses a standard USB plug, for the Google-Asus Nexus 7 tablet (N7), you have to buy an OTG micro-USB (male) to standard USB (female) adapter. I bought such an adapter on Amazon and it was a bad fit and unusable. Then I bought another one on Ebay from seller "itrimming" and it fit snug and worked perfectly.

Connect the OTG adapter to the N7 USB port, connect the keyboard USB plug to the OTG adapter, power up the N7, then ... it works just fine, no driver required.

The keys are obviously very small but still better for longer typing tasks than Google N7's on-screen keyboard. For most N7 tasks, however, the on-screen keyboard is just quicker to use.

Now to a practical consideration:

Since the N7 uses "portrait/vertical" mode for its home screen menu, there will be times when you want to turn the case on its side instead of the way it is shown in the photo. However, since the N7 is fairly thin, it will easily slide out of the bottom (right side) of the case. To fix this, I put strips of velcro fuzz on the top, bottom, and left sides of the tablet area of the case. Then I put two small one-inch-diameter stick-on plastic furniture glides, left and right, about an an inch away from the USB port, on the right side of the case. These stick-on glides prevent the N7 from sliding out when holding the case on its side.

BTW, on the N7, I noticed that it is best to connect this keyboard to the USB adapter and USB port BEFORE you turn on the N7. If you disconnect and then re-connect the keyboard while the N7 is running, it may not work. This is not a keyboard problem. It is just how the N7's Android O/S works.

I would love the keyboard IF it worked with android tab I have. Was advertised as such, but is NOT COMPATIBLE. The ad should be revised to ensure buyer is fully informed about product. You need a full usb port on your tablet, adapter to mini port will not work, even though ad says it will. False and misleading info. Also, postage is too expensive to return product. Now I have paid for something that is not usable. No more online shopping for me! You need to stand behind your products & promote them properly with correct specifications. I am disappointed.
