This is a great product. Worked very well on my acrylic fish tank. You need to be careful and follow the instructions. The main reason you would end up with scratches on your tank is sand or gravel getting caught in the scrubber. So be careful when scrubbing the lower portion of your fish tank. I would surely recommend this product.

I have a small 5 gallon acrylic aquarium and bought this because it was supposed to be safe for acrylic. It left fine scratches in my aquarium. The scratches are on the inside of the tank so now I'm stuck with them until one day I drain the tank to try and repair it (which is not going to happen anytime soon). Stay away from this.

This scrubber does just what it should. I am using to clean algae from a 5 gallon hex tank which is acrylic. Important to get ones that are intended for acrylic so you don't scratch the tank. This cleans without scratching. I generally do not have tank exposed to direct sun and so I haven't needed a product such as this before. I took a guess this would meet my needs and it really has.

easy to use lightweight easy to clean in a sink but I do wish I had gone for the longer one but that is my fault not the company's. the only dislike was that I had to press pretty hard and scrub a bit to get the algae off the tank walls but even with my acrylic tank it did not mar or scratch the surface at all.

Eh, it's so-so. Would be better, since this is obviously for a tiny take, if the scrubby tip were not so bulky. Makes it hard to reach in corners and behind things like heaters. I probably would not buy again, but that's just my preference. It works, I just think the design needs work for a small tank. I use it for a 2 gallon Beta tank.

The handle is well made and strong. It is a good size. I use it for my 14 gallon bio cube. I still need to stick may hands in the water as the handle is not that long. It does not scratch the acrylic. It cleans off the algae good but don't expect miracles. Some of the fibers will come off the pad if you pull at it. I would buy it again.

An inexpensive item to clean off algae from the tank walls and I am very satisfied. It says it doesn't work that great on glass, but it easily cleaned the walls of my glass aquariums. I don't let the algae go too bad before cleaning, though. Don't know how it would work on very thick layers of algae. Might take some muscle.

I agree with the other reviewer. After scrubbing the tank, I held it to light, and saw that the whole tank is covered with micro scratches. The tank was empty!!! No gravel ... No sand ... Thus it couldnt have grabbed sand or gravel and rubbed it against the tank. $2 scrubber ruined $50 tank :( It is also very big and bulky ... it would not fit into the crevices corners etc. to clean the tank. It could be okay for large glass tanks but not good for small acrylic tanks.
