There is a major difference between the premium and regular (blue) te-energy battery's! The blue ones last about 2/3 the time the premium ones do at best! The D cell batteries lasted for over 6 weeks, 8 batteries in a lantern with the lantern on its low setting! I did this test in my garage and left the light on, well needless to say I forgot to check it a few times too but went back to it and it was still running, after 5 weeks there was a considerable difference in the projected light but it was still burning! So i left the lantern without ever turning it off for 6 weeks and they were still chugging along! The D cells do take about 24 hours to charge and they get pretty warm when recharging, some extra air flow over them while they are charging is a good thing too, i burnt the plastic skin on one because i left the cover over the charger, now when i charge these bad boys i leave the cover open and a little fan blowing over them but worth the extra effort to have a powerful and long lasting battery at my disposal!

The AA and AAA batteries last 2 times as long as the blue te-energy batteries in the xbox controller (AA) and my turtle beach headset (AAA). I have both and use both because I have them but when I am going to be away from my charger for a bit (such as camping) I only use the white premium batteries, they rock!

I was skeptical before I bought these batteries. I have had many different types of rechargeable batteries over the years and they all seem to lack in the life and capacity department. I was especially skeptical of Tenergy's claimed mAh's of these batteries; I mean 10,000mAh on a "D" cell, REALLY??? Most "D" cell batteries, even high end ones, are just AA's in a hollow container, which is why my 4 "D" battery automatic trash can goes dead after about 2 weeks with other rechargeables. Not Tenergy's, I have had them in constant use in that same can for 2 months & they are still going strong!

I had a high drain little shaver too, and it was an instantly noticeably improvement when I installed a "AA" Tenergy. That one is still running strong after 2 months as well. I have had similar luck in other devices as well.

They do take a long time to recharge because of their huge capacity, but nothing an overnight juicing won't take care of. I haven't had any bad ones yet, but haven't used the whole pack yet either. I have had bad ones from other companies, so it happens.

I'm sold & buying more to replace all my old, tired rechageables! They are worth the price just to have good high capacity rechargeables, I have wasted money on 3 different cheaper versions in the past & those 3 types cost more together than these bad boyz! Wish I would have found them sooner.

Purchased these as a set and I have not used the 9 volt or C batteries that much. The D size and AA I use daily and they are wonderful! Saves me a lot of money over buying batteries all the time like I was. I can't say how many times I have charged them, but it is a lot, daily or every other day. They did get weaker so I ordered new ones knowing these are getting weak, but these are about 9-10 months old now. In my book that is good for a rechargable battery.
