I heard of this series through reading Charlton Heston's Biography and bought it to satisfy an urge in one of my hobbies based on archaeology and biblical history.

It was not as good as I expected with Heston simply reading biblical episodes at various locations.

It was worth the money but would definitely not be everyone's 'cup of tea'

Well done, but simple, this production highlights and spotlights the story-telling mastery of the actor the great Olivier once said could be one of the greatest American actors of all time. A fine travelogue of Israel and the neighborhood, combines with story and recitation to make the pages of the Bible breathe.

Thoughtful and insightful, it makesyou ponder, and that is all to the good!

What can i say - they picked the perfect person to narrate these films and he left nothing out. What a great actor, he made the Bible come alive. Great set of DVD and will watch it often. I can share it with my friends too. I received it in perfect shape. I will do business with you again.

I enjoyed this naratives, and how he explained thru the Bible his journey. Since I have been to Jerusalem it bought back my joy of some of the places I had visited.

I would recommend this series for anyone who loves the Bible.

First I love Charlton Heston . Lost him to soon. His voice is so commanding and the way it is presented is terrific. He did so many bible films ,just one of a kind and I got used very good condition.

I had higher hopes. Mr. Heston does a great job and I enjoy hearing him speak the Bible, but the video quality is like an old used VHS tape. Also there are only 4 stories.
