Chlorella is not only detoxing but is a "super food", highly nourishing for the body. A few years ago I did a lot of research to find the best quality chlorella for the best price and settled on Dr. Mercola. Starting out gradually with 1 daily tab, as suggested for detoxing gently, I now take 5 a day - 3 in the morning and 2 in the evening with food. I first noticed an energy increase which leveled off to my now steady good energy level, a real blessing for an oldish lady.

Chlorella is a great source of chlorophyll, and this one is a 'broken cell-wall' green algae that is not contaminated with toxins. (It's radiation free according to Dr. Mercola at mercola.com.) The cell wall around chlorella is indigestible -- so look for the words 'broken....' I have amalgam dental fillings, and chlorella helps build the immune system and remove metals in the system. (We digest and absorb metals pesticides and other products.) Great boost of 'green food' to your system. Pills are round, tiny and easy to swallow.

I love this product and use it regularly, however, Amazon must have made a mistake with the price though. I bought it for $19.99 back in Aug of this year (through Amazon) and now they are selling the exact same thing for $54.99. I tried calling them but got nowhere. Vitamin Shoppe sells it for $19.99. Vitacost sells it for $16.99 and so on. Just thought I'd let people know that $54.99 is a ridiculous amount of money for it in case you are not familiar with this product. I hope they change it soon as I do like ordering through Amazon.
