I had cats for a lot of years, but became so violently allergic to them that the last two who died in their 20s had to be my last. Wonderful that I am not allergic to my Standard Poodle assistance/service dog.

Worthy has a very short gastro-intestinal system and has had a very severe episode several years ago with gastric torsion. I use T-Touch to keep him relaxed inside and also to be able to tell immediately if that abdomen is tightening up. Several small meals a day, and the right supplements (not drugs) that are keeping him doing very well.

He has very long Standard Poodle ears, and everything works better if his food dish is short and narrow so the ears don't get into it. A dish that holds 8 ounces is perfect for his meals of 1/4 at a time--several meals a day.

I am an animal person. When I was very young, the age of imaginary friends, my imaginary friend was a dog! I have learned to buy good dog supplies, and keep them even after that dog is gone. That allowed me to test some other dishes, and finally find this one.

First meal I put into this dish, he dove in and happily ate it all very quickly. Bingo! It can be difficult to get an only dog to eat on schedule, and assistance/service dogs do very well as only dogs for their focus on their human partner. I had 3 dogs at a time for many years, so I've seen the differences. Worthy was eating when he got hungry, having an empty stomach too long at a time, and there were lots of symptoms as a result. The Good Lord keeps teaching me!

This bowl is a real winner. I just ordered another one, because we feed him in different rooms. He also wants KLove radio playing while he eats. He has taught me how big a deal music is to dogs.

Thank you for making this dish available--to dogs as well as to cats! Also, thank you for such complete information on the Amazon site, so I could find the right one for dear Worthy!
