We ordered this piece for our freshwater "reef themed" aquarium to complement several other pieces we have. I have another replica brain coral and i'll have to say this one is more "true to life" than the others I have seen. Honestly when I took it out of the package I thought they had sent me a piece of real coral...I had to read the tag to make sure it was a replica. It is hard like the others I have but the edges are soft and almost spongy, not brittle. You cant really see it in the picture on here but the detail inside each hole is amazing compared to others. For the price of around 9 dollars with shipping it is well worth the money. I'm going to look for more pieces by Deep Blue Professional.

Real coral I have seen, now I have this (which is better for the ocean depths). It is hollow but has no air hole in top so you must invert it to 'anchor' it in place be letting the air out / filling with water. Not a great deal of trouble, but worth mentioning. Same color and texture as real coral. Well worth the price.
