I have used and been happy with craftsman tools for years. This set was purchased to replace some of my missing craftsman tools in my toolbox, but they are going in the kitchen drawer instead. Without going into specifics, the metal is just poorly machined, some are too hard to open and the others are too loose. The whole set is smaller than i expected. The craftsman pliers i still have are the black handled set, which i really like and i see they still have them for sale on amazon but I'm just going to go to lowes where I can see and feel the tools before i purchase them.

I bought this plier set as a Christmas gift for my dad. Had them for a couple weeks before we ever used them on anything. We had to run a new section of fence on our pasture after a storm. Used the wire cutters for about 2 hours which were already extremely dull using on small gauge barbed wire. They are very poorly made and would not buy these unless you just want something pretty to hang in your tool shed. Pieces eventually started to bust out of the cutters on there first use.

The Craftsman Evolv line are Craftsman's lower end tools. They don't carry the same lifetime warranty and are not made as good. The saying "you get what you pay for" holds true here. Honestly, spend the extra money and get the traditional Craftsman tools and you won't be disappointed. They feel better, look better, last a whole lot longer and come with a lifetime warranty.

Guys, don't buy these. I bought these to replace some old tools. Literally 3 months later after sitting in my tool belt, they are rusted. I wanted these to work for the price, but China made Craftsman is not a good idea. Take the advice, argoarguaeirhgaieurg UGH

Horrible quality, they rusted in a normal environment, inside a new toolbox with nothing but evolve tools and a screwdriver broke with normal home use, at my Sears they said it didn't have the same guarantee as the normal craftsman tools... Stay away

I just bought a home in Sept. 2013 and found myself needing all sorts of tools. I read through a number of articles on what tools a new homeowner should buy and I kept reading that if you're going to buy tools, spend a little extra because quality tools will last nearly a lifetime. I can't say for sure if these will last a lifetime or not, but compared to my last pliers set I bought from Walmart, these are an amazing purchase. My last set were bending and warping from pretty normal use and these new ones are holding up very well and I dish out some punishment.

The grips are staying strong and there's no sign of cracking or breaking at all. The green and grey handles are comfortable and really fit well in my hand. The wire snips worked great on some 240v wiring.

These aren't the best quality, longest lasting pliers on the market; for those you'll need to add another $0 to the price tag, but for a typical homeowner and/or DIY'er these will probably be more than adequate. I've been very happy with my purchase.

The needle-nose pliers are a bit bent inwards. They still work fine, but they don't make perfect contact on the inside. All the rest are good, but it's still something I wouldn't just overlook in terms of product quality.

overall I am satisfied with these but be aware that they are fairly small. almost toy size and I was surprised at that. They really need to add dimensions of each tool in the description. I was putting together a small toolset for an old truck I had so they should be fine for what I wanted. They would also be great to keep around the house for small repairs however I would not recommend these for a mechanics tool set as I would want more leverage on my regular tools.
