I'm about a month into seriously working out and working with a personal trainer. I found these cookies and thought they would be great for a before workout snack/boost. To my surprise and delight, the lemon poppy seed cookies taste a lot like lemon poppy seed bread from a famous coffee house. They taste almost naughty and I enjoy every single crumb. I've already warned my family members NOT to eat Mommy's cookies if they would like to live another day ;). Be aware that a serving size is 1/2 a cookie. These are rather large to begin with and thick (very cake like), so that works for me as I tried a whole cookie before a workout class and got light headed midway through (probably sugar drop). Half a cookie is a perfect energy boost.
