They tried to make good stuff but then gave up at the end. I'm not sure why but the nuts they included are so light and cheap that if you try to clamp down on a tight bearing they just pop out of the thread. I rode up to the hardware store and bought a whole new set of nuts for it and it works great now. I don't know why they would make everything else well and then cheap out on the nuts. Another strange thing is the clamps have nuts on bith sides (a total of four), most others use a solid bolt so you would only have two nuts in the set up. Makes it a little more difficult to tighten down without spinning the opposite side, but it does work. I guess that is just a preference thing. In summary, the set works alright... with a little help.

This thing is junk!!! It broke within 2 minutes. I went to remove a bearing and next thing I knew the damn thing broke. I could see if I used an impact wrench or something but I was using a 3/8 drive ratchet with a 17mm socket on it. I had maybe 10ft lbs of torque on it and the pull rod snapped right in half, not to mention, the bearing was already broke loose from tightening the splitter.

The first thing i did with this puller kit is run a bottom tap on the extensions and bearing separators, and a a die on all the threaded shafts. The next thing i did was replace the bearing separated nuts with some from ace hardware that are steel and Rockwell rated. I then coated everything with silicone lubricate. I have now pulled bearings off dc mothers, axle shafts, CV joints. I have used it about twenty times in a short period of time without any problems or failures. I think i save a lot of money overall by doing these few things.

I was excited when I got it and it did the job pulling a pinion bearing off a pinion gear. I went to use it today (not even a month later) to remove the new bearing I put on the new pinion gear. One of the threaded ends on the hex-legs broke off into the jaw of the puller and both bolts that hold the jaws together are now bent. Oh and the bearing is still on the pinion gear. :/

This item may be ok for occasional use but it will not hold up over time. The metal is weak and bends and breaks easily. This is manufactured in China so no surprise there. Wish they would have mentioned that in the description. I returned it.

It did the job on the first issue. Cheap nuts striped right off. Doc says 1 yr warranty, but theres nothing in the one page documentation about how to get replacements. Its rated at 5 ton..I'm pretty sure its not. I'll contact for a replacement. If they honor the replacement, i'll up the stars...

The first time I went to use the larger bearing separator the material bent and caused me to bend the cage on the bearing. So not only did I waist the money for this set but then I had to buy a replacement bearing for an additional $20.

Seriously, the metal is extremely soft. This is a one time (maybe) tool. I couldn't be more disappointed in the quality. Unfortunately I didn't use the tool in enough time to be able to return it.

Great kit, comes with everything I would expect it to come with. The parts were well oiled when they arrived so I had to spend some time cleaning them but other wise this thing works great. The smaller gear puller ended up being a little bigger than I expected so make sure to take measurements and make sure this thing is gonna work for you before you buy it.
