After years of office work, I have noticed my shoulder aching at the end of each day. I realized the stress was coming from the mouse being a little bit too high. Your mouse should be positioned in such a way that it requires no arm movement to hold it, but that wasn't the case for either my work or home desk. Enter the Under Desk Mouse Platform, which places the mouse at a perfect, strain free position that is comfortable to use all day. It does feel cheaply made, and will probably break sooner rather than later, but it is a perfect ergonomic solution to the "mouse isn't at the right height to use comfortably" problem I was having. If Aidata could find different materials to make this from, I would gladly give it 5 stars. A little more metal, and a little less plastic, perhaps? I'd pay more for a quality solution that didn't flex and creak like this one does.

Yes, they break. I'm on my third one. I still can't find another mouse platform that works better than this one, though. This product has saved my shoulder. Still hoping for a more permanent solution. Anybody at Aidata listening? The problem is with the main column supposedly metal reinforced. That's where it breaks.

I have used this for about 24 hours. It's OK, but certainly not all it could be. As a surface it's fine for a mouse. But as an extension off your desk, not so much.

1. The pad is not solid. It bends and flexes off the extension. Not sure how this could be fixed, but I wish it had been. I don't think that it's a good ergonomic solution.

2. There's a little cap that goes on the bottom of the bracket that holds it. I'm not sure if this is an integral part of the unit, or just decorative. But it doesn't stay on. Hopefully it's just decorative and doesn't matter. We'll see.

I agree with others that when assembled according to the instructions it makes the mouse much lower than I would like. However, I just assembled it upside-down (by turning the mouse pad surface over and then mounted it upside down and now it is an above keyboard platform which is just perfect.

I needed a remote attachable swivel pad to mount two trackball's on for a duel desktop computer setup. This is made of strong plastic and has a good swivel mount which we can move to please whoever is using the system. It is easy to put together and has more then enough room for both trackball's to be used comfortably.

This thing is good for the mouse as advertised, but you should know this because of its bad design:
1. hard to fit the cap at the bottom,
2. hard to turn the screw to secure the pad to the desk
3. you can never secure it firmly to the desk, so when you turn the pad around, it may get loosen over time.
4. there is a minimum thickness of the desk that you clip this thing on, I try to clip it to my glass desk, the desk is too thin to secure the pad.

Although once you are able to fit the pad to your desk securely, it works fine.

Worked exactly as it was designed to work. This is perfect if you only want your mouse at the best ergonomic height while working. I used for about 3 weeks and realized that I actually wanted both my mouse and keyboard at the dropped height, so have since replaced with a pull out drawer for the keyboard and mouse. But while I used it, it was everything I would want for the mouse. The platform is just the right size to move your mouse around without being intrusive to the seating area. Although made totally out of plastic, it was very sturdy (I tend to rest my hand on the mouse/platform and it held up to the weight.) Would highly recommend if all you want is an area to work with your mouse.

This is exactly what I needed for my desk!! My desk has a sliding drawer for my keyboard, but the keyboard occupies the entire space. So I got tired of not having my mouse and keyboard level. This is semi more ergonomic. But it's PERFECT!! It turns in when I am done for the day or if I need it out of my way.

This thing is actually pretty well put together. It has a steel backing that is more solid than the picture makes it look. Do pay attention to the size desk it supports though, I had to be pretty forceful with my thick rim desk to get this into place. Serves its purpose well though.
