dryer only lasted 6 months and blew out. I used it and so did my husband. the switches on the handle do not leave much room for you to grip the handle. Would not buy another Hot Tools dyer. I just bought a Tool Science Nano Lightweight dryer and love it.

I love these blow dryers. They are light weight and have a 5ft cord and blow dry quickly. What bothers me is that I have had two, the first one shorted out on the cord. The second one seems to get stuck when I press the cool shot button and sometimes it doesnt blow dry in high even though you have it set for high. I am a little concerned about that.

I've had a Helen of Troy for 4 years that I absolutely loved! I thought I would give this a try after seeing that it had the same rating as my Helen of Troy blow dryer. It's just okay compared to what I had. It's doesn't have as much force as my usual dryer, and it doesn't get has hot. That being said, I like this dryer because I feel that my hair is actually healthier and not breaking as much. It takes longer to dry, but I've found by using a bigger round brush it dries fairly quick. Overall I like it. If you're looking for a strong, forceful blow dryer, I wouldn't recommend this one. I have thick hair too. If you have medium to thin hair I think you will absolutely love this dryer. I've seen reviews that it dies quickly, but I've only had it for about 2 weeks, so I'm hoping it lasts. We'll see! Hope this helps!

I purchased this blow dryer for the first time in March of 2014 from a Plant Beauty and upon purchasing it the tool was fine. It was about a week into the use of the tool that I noticed that I had to wait at least 30-60 seconds for the dryer to warm up. I ignored this minor detail up until about July of 2014 when the tool would not heat up at all. It was now not functional at all which caused me to return to the place I bought it (Plant Beauty on CA). I was unable to return to the exact location due to my demanding work schedule so I went to the closest convenient to me.

I was lucky enough that the manager was in the store at the time and I explained the problem I had experience with my new Hot Tools blow dryer. She said that normally all tools are final sale but since I did not want a refund and this tool apparently was having issues from the start she would help me out and exchange it.

I came back the next day with my tool in tow and she informed me that they did not have the model in my exact color but a call to another location found what I needed and I did end up going back there after work for the exchange.

The tool was fine for about a month until the same issue began with the heating. Now the replacement tool must stay on the entire time I need it or I have to wait 30-60 seconds for it to warm up, and another 30 seconds for it to blow out something more than just warm air but the hot heat needed that the tool is supposed to use.Read more ›

With this item I was looking for a blow dryer with a comb attached to it, so I wouldn't have to hold a brush in one hand and the blow dryer in the other hand any more. I would be able to focus more on the sections of my hair that I needed to dry.

So when I found this item, I was very pleased that it came with the attachable comb as well- and the bonus part was it came in my favorite color, purple! After reading a few reviews and checking for better deals across the net, I decided this was the blow dryer I wanted to purchase.

When I received my blow dryer I was extremely excited to put it to use; along with another product I purchased at the same time (another PR another time.). After washing my hair, I set up my station and begin to section off my hair so I could blow dry it. First thing first, I attached the comb piece onto the dryer and turned it on.

Now, I have very thick, course hair, so I section my hair in small pieces so I can make sure every inch of my strands are dry.
As soon as I placed the comb from the blow dryer on my hair, it pops off!

Wait, what?

Okay, maybe I attached it wrong. So I turn the dryer off, and play with the comb. It doesn't click into the opening of the dryer, it just slides on and as I seen, easily slides right back off.

Nooooo!

This is not going to work for me. I pop it back on again and prayed that maybe it was the position I was holding it. when I turned it back on this time I held it slightly different and pulled the comb through my hair gently-POP!
Once again, it fell off.
That's it.
I leave the comb right well it fell, grab my brush and being working with both of my hands (Just as I didn't want to do.).Read more ›
