I have been taking these Iron supplements for quite some time. They are helpful and do not cause constipation like other iron supplements do. However, I did realize that my skin was looking a bit orange. I took the recommend dosage but decided to stop. Now, my skin has returned to normal complexion. Just be aware of this when taking these.

During my regular blood tests, the results indicated that three of my results were low indicating that I have anemia. My low test results were:

Red Blood Cell Count 3.83 L (Reference Range 4.20-5.80 million cells/microliter)
Hemoglobin 12.3 L (Reference Range 13.2-17.1 grams/deciliter)
Hematocrit 36.5 L (Reference Range 38.5-50.0 percent

My doctor recommended that I start taking Vitron-C High Potency Iron two tablets daily immediately and come back in three months for a follow-up blood test. The product label indicates that each tablet contains 65 mg Elemental iron (as ferronyl iron) and 125 mg Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) to help your body absorb dietary iron more effectively. It is BEST to take this product on an emptry stomach first thing in the morning 1 hour before you eat breakfast. Take Vitron-C with a full glass of water (8 oz [240 mL]). Do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking Vitron-C. I've been taking this product for a week now and already feel greater energy. I have no constipation, no aftertaste nor upset stomach. I will provide the three month blood test follow-up results as an update to this review. Based on my doctor's advice, I would highly recommend Vitron-C to anyone with anemia. Stay tuned!

I did not have the iron belching and after taste that I have had with other iron meds in the past. Will not know if the problem of low iron - anemia has been corrected. I may have to take two a day, depending on my bloodwork!
