The box itself is well made and well designed. It can accommodate stucco over wood installations with stud depth up to 2 and 1/8 inches. The modular design is simple to use and the package included bug plugs, one wire grommet, one each decora and regular switch plates, four screws to secure the box to the flange, and installation instructions.

Now the reason it get's two stars: The instructions. Basically, you cut a hole and install the box. It's not that hard. But, much to my delight, there was a nice cutout template on the back of the instruction sheet. So, I used it. Well, it turns out the template matches the cut-out hole size specified. But, both the specs and the template are undersized by about 3/8" in the width and 1/2" in the depth compared to the size of the flange. That's right, use the template or the specs and your hole is too small. Cutting out a hole in the substrate is easy. But enlarging a hole by under a half inch along two measurements is a nightmare. Enlarging the cut out took twice as long as the original cut out. I would much have preferred no instructions at all to the wrong instructions provided. If the template weren't provided, of course you'd have to measure for the cutout and all would have been fine.

Oh, and while we're talking about the crappy instructions, pay careful attention to the front side protrusion spec. The extra quarter inch to allow the hatch to swing open is not measured from either the front of the box, nor from the front of the hatch, but actually from the back of the hinge. The only good thing about the crappy instructions is that it caused me to study the actual assembly pretty hard once I found the first error. Worked well for my application, but had some trouble with the cutout. I used the template (outer ring), but I ended up having to rasp off another few mm because the template is a very very tight fit and I needed to angle the box slightly to get it in. So, worth watching that. The included sealant (caulk strip) is a nice touch.
You do need the included cover plates (or at least screws). I had originally ignored them thinking I would use the one I had, but the screw was not long enough - this box has an inset that requires a longer screw which they provide (2 if each end).

This is an easy to use and nice looking un-use outdoor box. I think NEC now requires all new outdoor outlets to be protected even when in use, compared to the little spring covers that have been in use since my infancy (just around the time electricity was discovered). Other outdoor outlets I've put in around my place have had an outdoor box and then the big outdoor, in-use, cover making the whole thing stick out about 6 or 7 inches. This one only sticks out about an inch.

I was worried about the depth inside and worried that it wouldn't fit in my 4" walls but it did, even if just barely with about 1/4 inch to spare. It comes with everything you need to complete the install except for the actual outlet. It has putty tape, outlet covers, and a box clamp designed to fit one cable coming into this box.

There are two minor flaws with this box so it gets only 4 stars. First, there is only one clamp. It is more usual that an outlet box gets inserted in a circuit and doesn't terminate the circuit. Therefore, you have a source 12-2 cable coming in and another 12-2 cable going out to the next item on the circuit. You need two clamps. The second issue is the little black plugs you see at the bottom front in the picture. Those come out to allow cords to come out the bottom and the cover to close when in use. Those will allow a small, cheap, extension cord but anything with even 14 gauge or larger will be too big for those small slots. I wish they were big enough for a nice sized, quality, 12 gauge extension cord.

This is a well engineered product that has everything you need to get a tight enclosure for your outlet.
It even comes with a peel-and-stick caulk and mounting hardware.
There are two slots to route the plug-able power cords through the box and still maintain a tight seal. Clips are installed on each slot...the clips are there to provide a seal until you are ready to route the cord through these slots.
The box is deep enough that it will allow not only large plugs but also transformer (ac adapter) products to fit with room to spare.

Great replacement cover for an outdoor outlet that somehow got its broken off. Wife didn't do it, 23 year old son didn't do it, I know I didn't do it, the dogs both acted innocent, but it got broken none the less.

Easy replacement here, just one really annoying really hard to remove sticker.

This is a very sturdy box. My one complaint is that the pictures aren't clear in that some show that the screws in the corners will be exposed and others don't show the screws as if they are covered. With this version of the box they are exposed.

I have another box from Arlington that looks very similiar but it is for new builds. I actually worked it in to replace an existing box where the holes mostly existed. I just had to enlarge the hole in the siding and use a tool to take apart and then replace the siding.

That wasn't possible in the area I wanted a completely new box so I bought this. It stands up to rain and the rest of the elements very good so far.
