These are a great cheap form of the filter pads I need for one of my phone pre-filters. I had several that I could rinse and re-use and would replace each year. These seem to tear after 2-3 rinses, which means I have to buy them more often. It's not really cost-effective, so I started spending more at a local water garden store to prevent buying so many and spending so much. Plus, I'm supporting a local business, which as a local business owner myself, makes me feel even better about spending the extra money!
