I bought a Suzuki Savage for $500 recently and promised my wife it wouldn't cost much to get running. I was hoping this was going to solve my problem and it did the trick! Thanks for saving me money and a trip to the doghouse!

Suzuki Savage/S40 owners, this is the one you want. Replaced the OEM Vacuum petcock on my '96 and the bike sounds and runs so much better.

Replacement info on suzukisavage.com. You can swap with the tank on, you will need a vacuum port cover for the carb.

Tip: Run your tank dry, down to the reserve. Less fuel to drain, it drains slooooowwwww....

So far so good. Installed on my 2003 drz400s with a 3.9 clark tank. I did this because the stock vaccuum petcocks would fail on me. You will need to get some fuel line for 5/16th fitting, the stock is the right size but too long. I used stock spacer/gasket and it has no leaks. Make sure if you use this on a drz that you cap the vaccum hose from the carb. I just put a hose clamp on the end of the vaccum hose and tucked it away.... not the best solution but hey it works.

Installed on my DRZ. Used the factory fuel line and factory spacer block. Fit fairly well (slight pinch to the fuel line, but doesnt seem to affect performance. I would consider getting a fuel line elbow joint, though). Fuel flow is fine and the bowls fill up in about 15 seconds. This means that even at WOT the petcock will provide ample fuel. Just be sure to get a vacuum plug kit to plug the vacuum line nipple on the far side of the carb, or you'll run into a serious lean state, that could damage your motor. Over all, for the price, this is an awesome fix, while I source parts for the stock petcock.

This fit fine on the stock fuel line, I'm not sure what that other reviewer is talking about. This is worth the money while you fix the factory petcock.

You can see the slight pinch just past the petcock in the image I uploaded. It's not bad, but it does bother me.

I bought this as a replacement for my Suzuki S40 which is known for a problematic Fuel Cock. Just cap off the vacuum hose from the carb.
Works perfect!
Screws right on.

It is what it is and does what it says it does. I had bought another petcock and one of the little plastic, fine, mesh screens on one of the tubes was damaged but I hadn't bought it on Amazon prime so it wasn't worth returning. So, I bought this one and it arrived in good condition. I guess it's always a crap shoot with these things but at least this one is fine. Oh also, it seals good and does not leak. I tested it. These are so cheap, I'm probably gonna replace it every other year or so to avoid getting a leak from a dried out gasket.

I live in a canyon, and my daily commute has me climbing about 200 feet (60 meters) up to a stop sign. With the stock, vacuum operated petcock, the motor would die of fuel starvation at this point every day, requiring me to flip the petcock in to 'prime' for the rest of trip.

Now with the Raptor petcock, I just flip it to 'on' when I start it, and don't worry about it for the rest of the trip.

The only thing is that I had to re-develop the 'TKV' habit to remember to position the petcock at the begining and end of the day. This habit took about a month of re-enforecement. Now, it's 'automatic' :-)

Thanks to suzukisavage dot com for all the research done on this mod.

awesome. I bought two, one for my 1992 Suzuki DR650 (Dont forget to pinch off the factory pulse line!) and one for my 1977 Kawi KE250 and it worked great for both applications. I made the mistake of buying a slightly cheaper Chinese knockoff from eBay and ended up throwing it away.
