These are perfect! I love how it comes in a set. The price isnt bad neither. I made my scrapbooks from scratch, I used these aluminum screws for the binding. It took me over 2 months to think of a efficient way to easily bind my books at home. For scrapbook purposes, I recommend getting a shorter screw for the spine (all the fill ins on the scrapbook paper make it seem like a thicker book). I ordered screws just a little bit longer that I needed, and I ended up using alot of spine fill to compensate all that extra room.

Thanks to an earlier review, I bought these to attach a long line of Billy bookcases to each other. They are aluminum, and therefore a little soft. Make sure your pilot hole is not too tight a fit because these Chicago screws can get damaged if you have to pound them in. I used a 13/64" drill bit for the pilot holes and the screws slid right in. Also, I found it necessary to wax the threads of the male screw piece. Just rub the threads around on a candle. It makes it so much easier to thread. Before the waxing I was unable to separate two pieces I had put together to test them! And being aluminum, it is easy to strip the head of the slotted screw if you have to apply a lot of muscle to fasten or unfasten these. So learn from my experience, and make it easy on yourself. These are great for my intended purpose, and I am very happy with the purchase.

These were packed nicely into two bags. One contained the male halves of the bolts, the other bag contained the female halves.

They are exactly 1.5" inches long between the heads, and, if you're looking to bolt Billy bookcases together, work perfectly.
