I have severe anemia. I had severe stomach pains on slow acting Iron Fe and could not take it, even cutting a slow acting pill in half resulted in severe stomach pain. When my physician prescribed Ferrous Gluconate, a different form of iron, I was skeptical. I was so happy to find it caused no stomach problems and was so quickly absorbed by my system that within a day many of my anemia symptoms began to fade. Since this brand is natural, it does not have as many potential ingredients to cause reactions to, such as yeast, sugar or gluten. if you have trouble with standard over the counter iron's available on the shelves at most markets, try tis instead. Note: some pharmacy's also carry it behind the counter.

After being diagnosed with anemia, I researched various sources and types of iron supplements and settled on purchasing Nature's Blend of Ferrous Gluconate. My sensitive stomach had no problem tolerating the daily dosage, making it easy for me to stick with the routine of taking it, faithfully, each day. One bottle of 100 tablets, with instructions to take 1 tab per day, is more than enough for a 3 month supply. I initially purchased 2 bottles to give myself 6 months to improve my chronic anemia condition, without changing my less-than-optimum diet, To my pleasant surprise, my lab work - taken 3 months after I first began using this product, showed great results and my iron level was finally within normal range! It is amazing to me that this product is so reasonably priced and as effective as a much higher-priced iron supplement with the exact same ingredients. Why pay more? This is a fantastic product at a great price and, since it clearly worked for me, I would highly recommend.

I took this at the recommendation of my doctor. I had noticed hair loss and a lab test revealed my iron level was low. It took a couple months but my hair is back to normal and the iron level is within normal range.

Unfortunately, these upset my tummy. I had purchased several brands and types to try, so I didn't repeat this one after the first night, since the next one that I tried, which is actually stronger, didn't upset my stomach (Ferrett's Ferrous Fumarate). I really think iron pills are different for each person & that these will be ok for some and not for others. Trying them out until you find the right one is key, because who wants to have a stomach ache all the time?!

This product was prescribed by my primary care doctor, bought the first bottle at Walmart, when I needed a refill I went to two Walmarts, CVS, Walgreens and GNC and Riteaid, no one had it in stock, went on line and the first hit I got was Amamzon. I bought two bottles to be safe for several months.
When I first started to take this product my iron level was 17 after one month it was 42 after 2 months it was up to 92, I can't wait till my next blood test to see what it is.

I would reccomend this product with doctors consent.

It's supposed to be Nature's Blend, and only full of natural ingredients, then I get it (and opened it by mistake) and it's full of artificial colors! So stupid. So dangerous for people with sensitivities to these chemicals.

I had been diagnosed with anemia a couple of times and was told to take an iron supplement. I had read that ferrous gluconate is a better form of iron for less stomach irritation. I have a sensitive stomach and have taken one pill twice a day at breakfast and dinner and have had no problems with stomach upset. My pharmacist had suggested this particular brand. It did help raise the iron in my blood back to normal levels after taking it for a while. The pills are coated and easy to swallow.

Not the most exciting product in the world but these seem to be good quality and they are working to raise my iron levels. Price is way better than buying at local drugstore - if you can even find it locally; Most of the product I find at the local store is a lower dosage or another type of iron.
