Excellent upgrade to the Whistler PRO-3600. Quiet all alerts and use highest filter set depending on speed (mine is set to quiet under 30mph and high filter under 40mph). No more fiddling with the buttons when I pull into a parking lot. Traffic cameras (only two in my area) were in the database and I get regular alerts (which can be set for 200, 400 or 600 meters). Just remember you have to upload from a flash drive and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS or you can mess up the firmware update and brick your detector.

The GPS capability adds a whole new dimension to the device. I drive in areas with photo cameras are used for both speed control and red light enforcement. Once you load the database, you get instant notification of these locations as you approach. I'm not one for breaking the law, but I have been known to have my speed creep up 5-7 mph when I'm not paying attention to the speedometer on the highway, The addition of this capability gives me a wake-up call when the wrong people might be watching. Vehicle speed is one area of life where you do not want to exceed expectations. This helps a lot.

Bought the whole setup and had issues right away. Asked for a replacement and the replacement failed as well. Third replacement showed up and the same thing happened. The unit never knew where it was with the GPS. It couldn't replicate places that I had "tagged" as red lights or speed traps. Amazon removed the item for a week or two to investigate the quality. I returned the entire system and bought a much more expensive system from Beltronics that has worked flawlessly. You get what you pay for with this one.

I returned the entire Whistler radar detector package and bought an escort. This unit is supposed to be built-in, but I found it cumbersome and unworkable. Still, it was half the price of competitors. Maybe it will work for you.
