I have a slow healing wound on my lower right leg, and have been in an "Unna-boot" for 17 long weeks already, with a few more months to go. I have to have the boot changed every week, and it's applied under an ace bandage. For the first 6 or 7 weeks, the surgeon's office used these (the Cotton GT) bandages, and they are far superior to the ace bandages. (Apparently, the office can't find a stock of these, and haven't ordered more.) Anyway, I'm ordering these to go over the UnnaBoot b/c they don't slide down like Ace, and they don't stretch out like Ace. - and I can't take these crappy Ace bandages any longer. If you have to spend any time with these things at all, go for this brand - you'll be glad you did!

I bought this ace bandage and a belly bandit while I was pregnant, the belly bandit was pretty and strutted and I was planning on wearing it when I left the hospital. I wrapped my stomach in this ace bandage the second I got home from the hospital and continued wearing it for the next month. My belly bandit is still sitting in its package as it was way too uncomfortable! $60 vs $6!

The velcro is a great addition. It stretches out a bit over time, but is wide and strong too, so definitely worth it. The length is important as it takes a lot to wrap a hamstring. Also it tends to bunch up after using for a while.

The bandage is nice and it works for what I need. But it is only about 6 feet long unrolled and there is no way it stretches to 15 feet. I was disappointed about that. But it does work for icing my knee. I am OK with velcro at only one end too, otherwise its just in the way when wrapped underneath.

I managed to get gangrene in my left foot and they had to take a part of it. We needed bandages that we could wash in the washing machine, use bleach on them, and were easy to use. These bandages were great. If ever you get a cut that is kind of deep - be sure to ask your doctor to run a culture on it immediately. Doctors only give out antibiotics that take care of STAPH infections. Gangrene is STREP. Didn't know that and almost died because of it. I am VERY grateful that these people were selling these as they are one of the things that really helped to keep me from becoming re-infected. A great product. We still have the bandages in case of emergencies. They have been washed twice without bleach and once with bleach to ensure they are clean. That is something else you should know. You really need very sturdy bandages because you really should wash them three times between usages. Remember viruses and bacteria are not like dirt. You can't see them and they are very tenacious. So better safe than sorry. Do the three washes every time. Better to wear out the bandages than to lose a toe, finger, hand, foot, leg, arm, or your life.

Peace and love to all of those out there struggling to get through some nasty infection. I know the kinds of things you are going through. Hang in there - it will get better.

Like the velcro, I first thought it would only have Velcro on one side, but it actually had Velcro on each end and I like that. Made it easier to keep tightened, I slept with mine on, woke up and it hadn't rolled or anything.
