These work on the older blue model as well. I was worried because the picture didn't show it, but they do work.

I bought these to replace the filter in the older model of the Fresh and Clear fountain (the blue one). They fit perfectly and cost less, in case anyone was interested.

I can't give a higher rating than 3 at this time. I have been using these filters for at least 6 months or more. Our indoor kitty seems to like the Fresh & clear fountain. It does require maintenance however. What I haven't figured out yet is the source of slippery, slimy plastic parts that are cleaned on a weekly basis. The filter may contribute due to it's "carbon" composition. I have used filtered water (undersink filter) & city water (chlorinated) separately in the past. It doesn't seem to make a difference. What I'm finding now is that water "pump" needs dis-assembly every week to clean out black pieces. I would describe them like the skin on exposed paint that was stored in it's original can but a lot thinner. Is the carbon filter a contributor? I don't know. Is the cat's saliva a contributor, I don't know. My cleaning routine is dismantling the foutain & soaking in a mild clorox solution for 30 minutes then rinsing & drying weekly. The filter is rinsed separately & replaced every 3 weeks. The pump is rinsed with soapy water only. I'm retired so I have time to indulge my pet. I may experiment with leaving the filter out only to see what happens (short term only). I didn't know how important a pet was to retirees living in an empty nest. Hope this helps. Update: I have experimented with a back up fountain I have. I filled fountain with city water & let it sit for a week; end result no slimy plastic parts. Then I started over with fresh water & included a carbon filter to sit for a week; end result no slimy plastic parts. My conclusion; pets saliva introduce a reaction that caused the slippery plastic. I added 1 star for rating to a 4 star. I do unplug fountain at bedtime but there is a water dish elsewhere.

I used to have the older blue-and-white Catit Fresh & Clear water fountain, and the filters that came with that fountain fit snugly in the fountain. In that particular fountain, the filter was the perfect size for the interior circumference of the fountain. The edges of the filter touched the sides of the fountain.

Not so with this new bag of filters and fountain. Not long ago, I bought a new Catit water fountain, the green-and-white style. (I guess Catit redesigned the original model.) The filters I ordered from Amazon were supposed to fit the green-and-white Catit Fresh & Clear water fountain. That's what the filter bag states, and that's what the bag depicts.

For some reason though, the filters don't nestle inside the green-and-white fountain. There's a lip/ledge around the inside of the fountain itself; the filters just sit on this ledge. This leaves a small gap between the edge of the filter and the side of the fountain. In the old fountain, there was no gap and the water had to pass through the filter. With the new filters and new green-and-white Catit fountain, the water can flow around the filter as well as through the filter. How exactly is this filtering the water? It filters a lot of the water but not all of it. If you want the filter to fit inside this lip, you have to stuff it in there, but that just wrinkles the edges of the filter and creates more gaps.

I don't know if there's a design flaw with the fountain itself or with the filters. Did Catit not measure the interior of the fountain and design the filters accordingly? Did I just get a bad batch of filters or a crummy water fountain?

It's a lot more simple than the filter that came with my bubbler but also much cheaper so I'm happy with it. Doesn't look like I'm getting the white buildup like I was before being a new filter so it seems to be doing something and the cats are using it still.
I used it on the dark blue catit bubbler and it fit fine https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CO527IC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My cat received the White-and-Green fountain from a thoughtful sis-in-law. Not only did kitty (currently 14 years old) like it, but so did our two pups. I've been filling it with distilled water for about 2 months and was surprised that I needed to replace the original filter -despite having cleaned it 2-3 times per week- because the filter began to decompose, leaving black flakes in the water. That can't be good.

These filters arrived promptly --thank you Amazon Prime -- and they look identical to the original (which I kept to make sure they were the same. You never know.)

I'll be changing the filters out more often now that I see that they can't be 'stretched'. The filters do work, by the way, grabbing bits of leaves and crumbs and whatnot that drop from the little beasties' mouths.

We purchased this for our newer Cat-It fountain, the one that supposed to take the water-softening cartridges (which are more expensive and harder to find) and while they're made for the older version of the Cat-It (our quit after I let it run dry one too many times!) it works pretty well even if it's not the exact right one for our fountain.
