I got three boxes of these during a woot-off and my daughter just loves them. Each project only takes about 10-15 mins to make, items are brightly colored. She is 3.5 years old and only needs me to select the items for each particular project for her. I do instruct her on how to put things together so maybe that's why the kit is aged for 6+ years of age, but it's certainly doable for younger ages.

It's a great kit.

this craft kept my two girls (6 & 8) busy for several evenings. First they followed instructions, but then they took off on their own and created a lot of fun things. Because the set uses several objects that are pretty common around us, it actually gave us ideas for more crafts even when we were done with the materials in the box.

The crafts seem fun and my girls ask for them but I dread them. Unlike other Alex crafts these are not individually wrapped. I don't normally have an issue with taking a little time to prep but....

The instructions are in black and white so you have to use the box to figure out what colors to use for crafts.
The instructions are not clear and need a bit of deciphering.
One of the two boxes I ordered was missing a page so I lost 2 crafts and a couple pieces for two other crafts. I improvised for a couple pieces but that's not possible for all of what was not included.
We ended up using a different kind of glue.

That's why the three states.

Info that didn't change arguing but I wanted to share:
My girls are 2 and 3.the crafts are above their skill level. I don't just set them up and guide but end up doing half the projects for the girls. Since I do a lot of these myself I can state that sometimes the gluing is really really hard with just a glue stick . In fact, though I love crafting I really really hate gluing some of these pieces together.

I thought it would be a great craft toy for my toddler. It is one of the most confusing items. Each craft should be on one sheet but they arent. I even asked for opinions by other people. Everyone i asked didnt understand. Things should be clearly labeled. The illustrations were confusing. I would not buy again.

There are a lot of projects in this kit. We just came across a project missing key parts, months after our purchase! Very disappointing for a 4 year old girl working on the project and wants to make it exactly like the instructions. Also, unlike the other Alex kits with "packages" of everything you need for a project, you have to search for all the parts you need and oull everything you need on your own, This would be ok if all the parts were there or if there were a checklist so you know youbgot everything!

at first i would sit and do each project very strictly with my three year old, then i just gave him the box and all the stuff and let him make up his own stuff, he loved it even more, a lot of different bit and pieces to make a huge mess in you house, the tissue paper confetti is a real favorite!

Building each piece requires following specific instructions which a 4 year old would not be able to do on their own. However, she insisted putting her own touch and truly made each piece her own.

I got this for my crafty 5 yr old, but she needs me to be right there with her. The directions are clear to an adult, but NO WAY are they clear for kids under 8 or 9. There are specific stickers and punch out papers you need for different projects and they're all combined on the same sheets. The directions show which ones to use in bold, but you have to find the right sheet and then turn the page the right direction and then figure out which items are bold. I would buy it again b/c I think they're quality projects and they show different types of media for kids to work with.
