I instantly fell in love with this spoon rest as soon as I opened the box. I really wanted to love it and spend the rest of my life with it. However, it's too light to hold non-plastic ladles. Mine was made with metal and silicone, and it was too much for it. Also the it is not long enough, and consequently the balance was a little off, which made ladles sit in a weird angle. Overall it looks nice but doesn't work efficiently.
