Why would you purchase a $500 piece of electronics that is on the water and in the elements all the time and not get something to protect it when its not being used? This is a cheap way to protect your investment. I think that they should come with the fish finder from Garmin but it doesn't so get it seperately.

Nicely made. Fits well. I use it mostly for storage protection as my fish finder travels between boat and kayak. Several people have claimed it will blow off if left on when towing at highway speeds. This is not a reflection on the fitting of the cover as it holds nicely on fish finder at boat speeds.

Works great for keeping the screen protected from the elements, dust and rocks that can get kicked up, and even kids who decide to apply spray on sun screen while standing next to it =). Only thing I wish it had was clips to hold it onto the unit while in transit ( I use a big rubber band just to be safe ). I would recommend the Garmin Protective Cover f/echo 200 500 550 to others.

Having ordered the two covers for my Garmin 200' I am pleased with these covers.
The covers snap on with ease completely protecting the face of the locators. They are fit tightly and yet are very easily removed.
I do however remove them when in transit but secure them when my rig is in waiting for the next outing.
I do recommend them as they serve the purpose very well

This cover fits neatly and snug to my 500c. My unit is flush-mounted on my center console and this cover provides a clean look for when the boat is not being used. I trailer my boat down the highway at speeds of 65 mph and this cover stays on tight. Highly recommend.

I am disapointed in the fact that it is a hard plastic cover that just covers the face of the fish finder. I was expecting
a cover to enclose the entire unit. I am concerned that this will fly off when trailing the boat.

The Garmin protective Cover appears to be strong, well made and is a snug fit. I would recommend using a small strap or a heavy rubber band to completely secure it before getting on the road. It should do well protecting the Echo 200 Screen.
