I sit here writing my review with a mouthful of this pasta as we speak. I purchased it yesterday to make a homemade pasta salad with ham and veggies and basil and other goodies. I'd previously tried a few different GF pastas and most were really subpar. One particularly popular brown rice pasta brand that claims "NOT MUSHY" all over the bag is unapalatable unless I cook it like, half the time it's supposed to be. "Can withstand a lot of overcooking"? It can't even withstand normal cooking.

But this....

this golden, delicious, chewy, al-dente, would-thinki-it-was-wheat-felt-like-I-had-to-double-check-the-package-to-make-sure-I-didn't-get-the-wrong-thing pasta?....Amazing. I couldn't believe it and still can't.

The texture is EXACTLY like wheat pasta. It has a bite, it has a subtle chewiness. It doesn't taste weird, or have any grittiness. It doesn't get slimey or mushy. It holds its shape, even when I was stirring it up with all sorts of other ingredients and dressing. It's good cold. It's good hot. Holy cow it's just amazing.

If this review didn't convince you to go try it, I'm not sure what will. I can mail you a bite of my pasta salad and as you weep with joy you can go get some. :)

Having a child with Severe Allergies to Dairy, Egg, Wheat, Barley & Rye has been a challenge. We've tried just about every brand of Gluten Free Pasta available today. Most is barely edible - rinsing or no rinsing, and quickly solidifies into a lump of starch before you can finish a bowl. Bionaturae's Gluten Free pastas (Fusilli, Spaghetti, Rigatoni, Penne, Linguine) is excellent! Fresh from the pot I'd call it indistinguishable from the usual high end, wheat based pastas everyone else is used to!

My child, the real critic, asks for pasta at least 5 nights a week, and after several years, still hasn't gotten bored with this brand!

I will say that I haven't had a lot of luck making a large pot, and storing left-overs to be eaten the next day as was my habit with wheat based pastas - it doesn't maintain its consistency after refrigeration, or reheat to the same level. Taste and consistency out of the pot though, are first rate. if you know of someone who has allergies, or wants to avoid gluten, I highly recommend this pasta!

I am an Italian. Sicilian actually. I have been eating pasta pretty much daily since birth. When my son and I became gluten intolerant, I struggled to find a gluten-free pasta that would feed my craving. NOTHING was the same. Everything disappointed on some level, till I found this pasta. I LOVE THIS PASTA. Finally. It has the great taste of 'regular' pasta and, most importantly, great mouth feel. The slight chew of al dente pasta is here! Heaven. I now have this delivered by the case (thank you, Amazon.) Rigatoni, Spaghetti, Linguine and Penne Rigate. I'll even get the Fusilli for the kids on occasion. Yes, it is possible to boil this pasta to mush, but you have to work really hard at it. I have served it with pesto, red sauce, mushroom cream sauce, butter and cheese, and with plain butter, olive oil and black pepper. If you have despaired of ever experiencing real pasta again, try this.

These are by far the best tasting Gluten Free (GF) pasta we have found to date. They do NOT taste GF-they taste like the real McCoy-regular pasta! So yummy. Wish they had a sale on them, pretty pricy. Can't find Rigatoni in the stores in this area so will buy them as a treat.

I have tried numerous brands of pasta and by far this is the only brand I use. There is no difference from the wheat pasta, the taste is great and you cannot tell the differnce that it is gluten free. I have celiac for 4 years and I would not eat any other brand. Amazon is the best price for this product. I am an amazon shopper for many other products and have been very satisfied.

Wow, I just got done eating this GF pasta for the first time..my first GF pasta ever. I havent had pasta for 4 years since being diagnosed. This stuff is great. I can tell no difference from regular wheat pasta, from what I remember it being like;), and just bought $100 more of it, great stuff. The taste and texture are excellent. I hope to use this rigatoni to make some baked rigatoni, and will report how it stands up to the oven. I would love to see some of this brand lasagne sheets too! But until then, this is great stuff at a fair price. Recommend!

I have been on a gluten free diet for over 7 years now b/c I have Celiac Disease and have tried TONS of gluten free pastas and this is, by far, the best yet! Season the water with some salt and add a few tbsp. of olive oil to the boiling water to prevent the pasta from sticking to the pan and to each other - then I occasionally stir the pasta during the cooking process. Cooked to al dente and this pasta is awesome!!!
