The cord almost attaches properly to my old camera. The connection isn't exact, and I can't really say it works to charge the battery completely because we use the original wall charger. Files transfer easily to the computer.

I was looking for a cable to connect my old Sony Snapshot DSC T-100 to connect to my laptop, this did the job, but the design is a little cumbersome. You have to push in the sides to get it to come out or go in, but since it was pre-standardization I was happy to find one that would still fit and that I could buy new and not have to search Ebay or craigslist.
