Tested a water cooled condenser on the water outlet pipe (dry)...On the most sensitive mode, tool went off like crazy beeping and I told my customer that's where the leak is. Changed the condenser and retested same beeping.......Apparently this tool is not accurate..False readings..and I am out a water cooled condenser and labor costs.......Thanks Yellow Jacket

This the best leak detector I ever owned the three sensitivity setting pinpoints even the smallest leak. I bought the tool to find a leak on a customer's coil. I couldn't find the leak with my old detector and I had to prove that there was a leak. At first I started with the normal setting the detector beeped one time then I went to the highest setting then I was able to locate the leak the system only had nitrogen and maybe a couple of pounds if R-22 80lbs total pressure. I recommend the yellow Jacket Leak Detector to any serious Tech that needs to give his customers solid proof of a leak and want to find leaks quickly. Also I saved about $85.00 at Amazon. CIRCUIT

i have one worked good from 2007 tried to replace the sensor tip on the end and the complete end piece pulled off and broke so now its no good, but it was a good unit for 7 years of normal to low use

I used it yesterday on a system that had only 24 psi. The accuprobe had no problems locating the leak. I tried my other leak detector that is made by another highly regarded HVAC tool manufacturer. It failed to detect anything. If you are looking for a leak detector spend the extra cash and get this one. Mine has already paid for itself on its first job.
