They are OK, not as stiff as the 'Heavy Weight' description might suggest. "Medium Weight" would probably be more appropriate.

After serving stews and soups enough to use half the box of spoons, we have not seen any spoon breakage in normal use. So 'medium weight' is good enough for most applications.
