The Dwarves are indeed born again with this album! It has been just too long since the world was graced with an amazing album by the Dwarves (7 long years), and they do not disappoint with this album! The Dwarves prove once again that they truly are one of the very best punk rock bands of all-time! And that there is actually some truth to Blag Dahlia's constant reference to himself and the Dwarves as rock legends!

The album's sound is definitely more like Come Clean and The Dwarves Must Die as you would probably expect, and at times to Young and Good Looking! But there are some really good hardcore punk songs on here as well like Stop Me, We Only Came to Get High, It's a Wonderful Life of Sin and Futyd. 15 Minutes, lyrically sounds like it is directed at that fairy Justin Bieber or Lady Gage or some other trash musician, and musically is played in stops and starts and has a lot of sound effects, cool short song! The Dwarves Are the Best Band Ever opens the album brilliantly, and is just a punk classic about the Dwarves favorite subject matters (sex and drugs obviously)! Looking Out For Number One is definitely one of my favorite songs on the album, it is very catchy and insanely melodic, and is brilliantly sung by Blag! Happy Birthday Suicide and Working Class Hole are kind of along Looking Out for Number Ones sound, in that they are also very catchy and melodic songs! The only bad song in my opinion is Do the HeWhoCannotBeNamed, and Zip Zero is kind of lame as well! Both songs are kind of gimmicky and weird musically, but every other song is truly great!

Rex Everything takes over vocal duties or at least shares vocal duties with Blag on 3 or 4 songs as well, which sounds really cool!

Love this album! Every song kind of soudns a little different. It's def worth checking out if you're new to the dwarves. Their older albums are a lot more noise and sloppy. I know a lot of old schooler punk rockers are into that, not my thing. This and the album 'The dwarves must die' are the best in my opinion. The sound quality is very well and the songs are very entertaining!
This album has some hardcore punk, skater punk, pop punk. So good!

The Dwarves are back and better than ever on "Born Again"...Mixing the old school punk rock that The Dwarves are known for, a little techno, some blues and a splash of getting high and having sex with sluts makes this the best album The Dwarves have released since "Young and Good Looking"...DVD bonus content is excellent - a ton of videos for older songs, 'We Must Have Blood' fight scenes, naked girls (and a naked hewhocannotbenamed), plus side projects like Rex Everything's (Nick Oliveria) Mondo Generator, Earl Lee Grace (Blag's bluegrass), and more!!! If you are new to the Dwarves you should probably order their two legendary albums - "Blood, Guts and Pussy" and "Thank Haven For Little Girls" after you get this album...As usual, The Dwarves don't dissapoint and they are, in fact, THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!!

The Dwarves have made a LOT of great music. They've dabbled in sludgy psych-rock. They learned how to write riffs in a hardcore genre. They refined those riffs into some memorable garage and 60s inspired classics (arguably their greatest strength). They've incorporated hip-hop production while maintaining their nasty edge. Hell, their best songs are a melange of 15 year old lust and 50 year old nostalgia. This album, however, is a letdown. It's going through the motions that they defied before. Sure, you expect short songs from the Dwarves, but you also expect them to be good. Most of these songs aren't. They've lost their passion- to be replaced with formulaic pop formats and samples that try to reiterate the glories of old, but only serve to emphasize how the steam has run from the engine. Nick Oliveri screams his way through half of the songs, robbing us of the smooth crooning of Blag, and replacing it with a methed-out screech. It used to be that you cheered for the guy who boasted of his prowess on the mic and the bathroom floor, but this is the first time that you'll think "I could do this better".

It's been a long time coming but leave it to The Dwarves to spit out a magnum opus in 2011. Great album start to finish, WAAAAY better than Come Clean & the Dwarves Must Die. Killer production/sound quality (Blag really knows how to produce a record right), The songs range from punk, pop, garage/psych, and straight up rock n roll. The accompanying DVD is a great bonus too, Tons of stuff to watch from all of their music videos, Live footage, random chaos, chicks, interviews, Dwarves all over the world, etc. So pick this up and catch the Dwarves live when they come around so you can get smacked in the head!
