It's darned hard to find a case to match the criteria I had, viz. light, compact, handles & strap, protective, easy to grab or re-bag the device, space for a few accessories, space for a handful of documents. I looked long and hard, and eventually settled on this. I've been very happy. It's just brilliant for someone who values being able to take their iPad everywhere, without needing a bulky case or bag. Easy to sling over the shoulder if I need both hands free. Doesn't get in the way on a crowded train or tram.

I'd give it 5 stars but for the following, all of which are minor:
1. elastic velcro-tipped strap for securing device in internal pocket ... solid material would be better, elastic already weakening. also tip of strap came unstitched after short time - largely cosmetic and hidden, but will probably fray over time; could probably be re-glued easily enough ...
2. shoulder strap could do with a shoulder pad with tactile surface - not for weight bearing, but to prevent it slipping off the shoulder (I find I need to loop it over my head to the opposite shoulder for carrying it a distance. that then makes it slightly less efficient to grab or re-bag the device quickly.)
3. I really wanted something just slightly bigger than A4 size, so I could carry standard printed documents without folding them. That just proved impossible to find in combination with the other criteria. Lesson: wait for heaven for total perfection ...

As I say, as close to perfection as it gets (for this user, at least ... )

I use this product along with the prototypical tablet sleeve/cover/stand that my Galaxy Tab 10.1 permanently resides in. I use this to keep accessories with the device when travelling, not for daily protection. The tablet slot is perfect and the divider within this attaché has a small velcro strap to keep the tablet in the case. That being said, the fit for my device is so good that the tablet is never in danger of just falling out anyway. Occasionally the divider will get under the tablet when putting it in this case, but simply tugging on the divider gently pulls it out and you can get on with your life - it's a triviality, but a drawback nonetheless.

The divider is also decently solid and rigid so accessories placed within the case in the other side will not press on the tablet and damage the screen or falsely activate it. The space for accessories was admittedly smaller than I had envisioned, but that was just my spacial guess prior to receiving it. The attaché is exactly the size it claims to be. I only mention it should others be expecting larger storage capacity as I was. It fits a charging cable, stylus and flat DC adapter well, but the DC adapter pushes it as far as I would be comfortable as far as item size.

There is a shoulder strap included that I didn't see mentioned and was assumed to be there anyway and I was pleased to see it was. It is adjustable to be comfortable for my 6'1" height. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a slim case allowing for accessories.

This is my second one and I really, really like this case AND WOULD LOVE one for the 11-13 inch (WHICH I ALSO HAVE)--TO HAVE THE CARRYING STRAP AND STRAP LOOP IN THE SAME "EXACT" MATERIAL AND DESIGN (with the swivel hook and same metal material) as this little one (~9-10 inch). Case Logic you have a gold mine here and you should develop it! Please make the current ~11-13 inch one with the strap mentioned herein. On to product review...

This case is small and would fit tablets/iPods/netbook under the case-size specified (not papers, someone mentioned papers--papers would not fit in this one but will fit in the next size up ~11-13 inch case which I also have and do occasionally use it like a small briefcase to carry papers instead of laptop). I love the simplicity of this case design. This case has two compartments separated by a flap with a Velcro strip to keep one section snug; on one side of the flap there are to netted pockets to keep loose items (you need this because the two metal zipper-peelers (my terminology) open around the bottom corners of the case create a gap/opening on both sides so small/narrow objects like pens, etc.Read more ›
